Could the Jonas Brothers hype have lost some of its heat???
Even though 4 million tweens and parents tuned into the Disney Channel's premiere of Jonas on Saturday night, the JoBros new series failed to bring the numbers Disney was hoping for!!
In fact, Jonas was the lowest rated premiere of a live action series for the channel since 2005!!!!
Even Miley Cyrus has bypassed the Jonas Brothers in the ratings!!
The latest ep of Hannah Montana premiered to 4.8 million viewers, almost one million more than her channel-mates.
Ouch!
This should come to no surprise, considering Smiley's Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour earned a cool $40 million more than the Jonai's 3-D box-office underperfomer!
Will the JoBros mania survive through 2009???
Or do we have three Jesse McCartney's on our hands????

The problem with the Jonas Brother's is easy to see, their songs lack merit and good music production. Look at their vocals, they are largely amateurish…and the producers of their songs are to blame. I would like to work with them as I feel they are largely good musicians, but they need better songs, better musical arrangements, and better music production overall. Sadly Disney is only nurturing their image, forgetting to nurture what ultmately counts in the longevity of an artist or artists…and that is their music.
i used to obsess over them, but then i grew up. i think they're kinda cheesy now. unless you have a strong adult audience, you would be bye-bye in Hollywood.

The Jonas Brothers did deliver for Disney. They won their timeslot, something Disney hasn't been able to do at that time for almost nine months. The Saturday shows never do as well as Friday and Sunday shows because it isn't a big TV night. Past Disney series' have not premiered on Saturday. They won the slot very convincingly against a special three part Nickelodeon show. Disneychannel.com also had one million unique hits for Jonas, a record for the site. I know that it makes for more gossip when you make comparisons like this. But look at the first season of Hannah Montana or any disney channel show. Although, I think Hannah is better in the third season, Jonas is much better than anything Hannah Montana. They have sold more than a million concert tickets for their summer tour. No, their star isn't fading any time soon.

Never did like these twinks! They became low on the food chain when someone foolishly put them on stage with Stevie Wonder at the Grammys. They've been sliding downhill ever since.

I am a huge Jonas fan and im going to there concert this summer. Im going to meet them too. But Im hoping they stop conforming to what there record wants and they become the original jonas like they were when they were younger…. I am 19 years old and I love the Jonas Brothers. I mostly listen to hardrock but there is just something about the Jonas Brothers that I cant get enough of. I dont think they are going anywhere anytime soon. Sure they may not be in the spot light all the time like they used to but they have millions of loyal fans who arent going anywhere. I do think they need to get away from Disney and get back to their oldselves. They have become to much of the Disney product to get respect from anyone in the real music industry. I think if they lose Disney and make more mature music they will get the respect they deserve in the industry. Plus a whole lot more fans. These boys are talented but with Disney behind them I think they arent going to be able to show everyone what they really can do. Hopefully they will see that and get away from Disney. As for the tv show…they should have aired it on a different day…but 4 million viewers on a saturday night is pretty good. Plus they asked people to have viewing parties. So that might have lowered the numbers. And please dont compare them to Miley Cyrus…she is only famous for Hannah Montana. Her awesome tour that sold out in seconds was all about Hannah. Once thats over shell be over. These boys didnt have a Disney tv show to help get out their name. They are famous for the music they play..nothing else. So obivously they are doing something right. Once the world tour starts I think people are going to realize they arent going anywhere.

I feel bad for them … Disney has given JBs the career opportunity of a lifetime, and to Disney they owe so much of their success … but it's also forced them down a very specific path which means they will never redeem themselves as musicians in their own right.

They are not fading, Disney didnt promote enough! If they normally were coming out with a new show, they'd play it EVERY commercial break. I personally am forced, and secretly like to, watch the Disney channel daily. I never even heard about their new show. My daughter loves them, we certainly would have watch it!
I've been a jonas brothers fan since 2005 around the time when they really started. and i've seen them succede and sell out. i LOVE jonas but i didn't watch the premier for the fact that i didn't want to the the last progression of the sell out occur.

WHY? because the idiotic channel put the show on a saturday night when the teens are usually out! And its the same time as the already established iCarly (not to mention it was online and on Disney OD like a week prior) I think the boys main place is music (I mean their World tour is sold out and they have already had millions of pre-orders for the new CD) They will always have the best luck in music, not movies and TV! (Though Camp Rock is still the 2nd highest rated TV movie on Disney and top 10 of all TV movies ever, but that is besides the point)

If you really look at JB fans, they are mostly middle and high school and even college aged girls. Most fans I talk to are in high school, and even alot of older woman like them, there is a site for 'JB cougars' with older woman who like them and there are millions of mambers around the world. I am sick of all their fans being called TWEENS when about 80% of the fans are over the age of 14 and 15, and tweens are little 9-13 year olds! Tweens like HM and Naked Brothers Band!
