I also find visualization techniques to be quite affective. I think of my airways as thin straws, like coffee stirrers, then bigger fatter wider straws, then whole cool stainless steel tubes. Within minutes, my airways will open up and be clear. So much so my doctor does not hear any wheezing! This of course works in normal conditions. I still use an inhaler for episodes. But, now that is only around 2 times a week.

Poor girl has asthma & so do I, certainly not something to joke about….and to you folks having the discussion about Advair…I agree that different med affect people differently HOWEVER I have had issues with ADVAIR myself. I have asthma but its severity varies depending on the time of year and the allergens circulating in the air. I have been on Advair and it does work great while you're taking it but if you ever try to get off of it or miss a couple of doses, you're screwed. My asthma symptoms went crazy and I even lost my voice for about 4 weeks. I now try to control my asthma without the use of advair, by using a nebulizer & a proventil inhaler when necessary. Different strokes for different folks but Advair does have its drawbacks.
