Wow this kid is brave and quite impressive. It takes a lot of courage for him to stand up for something so controversial. Good for him!

He's very well spoken, but I don't know any 9-year-old that would be capable of writing a speech like that. Frankly, I think he's being used as a puppet.

I am blown away by this, It is amazing how a 9 year old kid can speak out to the community at a rally about this, Gay right should be changed and gay and lesbian couples should have the same right as a straight couple.
How awesome is this? Being someone from Denver, I'm happy to see someone local in the spotlight that isn't:
a. a school killer (i.e. Columbine)
b. a church-shooter
c. just plain nutso

Seems a bit staged. Guess using a 9 year old to get some media attention for your cause will really boost the campaign. Mario was looking at the front of the kid's pants the whole time.
He read his mother's speech well. She had him read it so it would make more of an impact.
Re: topper – Yep a 9 year old couldn't think about civil right in America. I know you don't worry about civil rights - but some kids do. Go play in your sandbox and stop belittling people who want to make change in the world.

I remember when my little girl and her friends stood up to a town committee to fight for their rights to go to Science Camp. One of her friends, who happened to be named Ethan, wore his "power tie." Science Camp got voted out, but the kids spoke up and that's what counts. 20 years later these kids are fighting on other fronts. Ethan, you rule!

I could believe a high school kid or maybe even a 13 year old but a 9 year old only parrots what his parent(s) say. If you watched the video, you would see an adult (who I believe to be his mother) coaching him several times on what to do.
What does that kid know? He was told by his parents what to say, come on.
