After the cameras stopped rolling on American Idol last night, the audience watched Carrie Underwood limp off the stage. Ever the curious detective and radio DJ, Ryan Seacrest asked her what the deal was on his morning show.
“You’re gonna laugh at me,” Carrie said to him, “everyone does.”
Carrie then explained that she fell and suffered a minor injury while running in Nashville recently and one of her lucky neighbors got to come to her rescue.
Says Underwood, “This nice lady was driving behind me — I’d never met her before. She saw the incident and was nice enough to pull over and roll down the window and say, ‘Can I take you home?…So I fought back tears and she took me home!”
How embarrassing!
You’re just lucky none of the paps were there!
