After weeks and weeks of auditions, global phenom Susan Boyle was once again competing on the stage of Britain's Got Talent.
Yes, she's got a new makeover. Yes, she just made it through to the finals. But, unfortunately, her performance was too measured and lackluster. It lacked passion and that spark that made her a viral superstar in the first place.
That's what we think, at least.

Perez, you got this one wrong. She has a 3 octave range. Aretha, Babs, and Whitney are the only others I know of. She is a mature voice that reminds me of Sarah Brighton, from Andrew Lloyd Weber's ditties.

Listened to SoBo's second performance on BGT and she SUCKED!!! Why on earth were those three judges telling her otherwise??? Guess they want to get on her money wagon. She was more than "PITCHY" she was GOD AWFUL!! Buh-bye Susan — enjoy your Spinster life!!

She had trouble with the low notes, but she can belt out the high notes. Also….look closely at her beautiful face. You have to look past the chubbiness and the bad hair, but she is beautiful. And she hasn't been touched by a surgeon's knife or a dematologist's needle. Those cheekbones and the piquant face……Love her.

Eff off Perez!! She struggled with her breathing at first but she's singing in front of millions of people for crying out loud!!! She was just as good as her first audition, it just sounded different because it was in a studio and there was more production involved. Piss of criticising her, she's fucking amazing and better than any of the shit that comes out of America.
She misses the warmth that Elaine page and Bawbwa put into the song..

That song, being so well known, makes it easy to spot anything off with the pitch or the notes. Because of that, itt probably wasn't the best song choice, but I think she performed it beautifully.
What did the judges say? They gave a standing o at the end, so it'd be nice to see/hear what they had to say.
yes, she did hit a couple of off-notes, but it must be so stressful singing before so many people. I STILL say, she absolutely has the voice of an angel. nothing's going to change that. I would love to see her sing a different type of music though, to see what she does with that. Do they have to?
I think you would also have a pretty hard time trying to sing if you had to live up to all the pressure the world has put on you!

she was a little nervous at the beginning but what a finish! i think she has an amazing voice and cant wait to see and hear more from her! keep up the good work Susan and keep singing i hope you win so you can sing for the queen!
Underwhelms??? What in the world could that woman do to live up to the sensation of her first performance?? Geez cut her a break. I can't think of any other performance by anyone that was this anticipated or this looked forward to. All in all I think she did really good job, especially once she calmed down a bit.

I think people have unrealistic expectations from Susan Boyle because she has become such an internet phenom.. She is not a professional singer but rather, is someone who is trying to win a contest along with 39 other semi-finalists. You have to put her back into perspective and take her down from the pedestal the world has put her on. I think she is still good and still has a good chance of winning this show.

We did Cats for my senior musical, and playing Grizzabella myself, I'm gonna go ahead and say that I did a much better rendition of this song

Clearly she was NOT lip Syncing…messed up a few times, but when she hit it she hit it great! She's awesome and I hope she wins! It's great when the underdog wins! She has a beautiful voice! If she recorded a song, it would have every flaw erased!!!!! Amazing!

Perez, I think she did an amazing job. You probably think she didn't do as good because her first song was beyond good especially since noone expected it to be good.

The only reason why she was so amazing the first time was because there was such a shock.

Stress, nerves, and fatigue were infused in her performance. These factors impacted the quality, but not her determination. She did recover and gave the middle and end of her song the punch it needed. The voters had faith in her, and so do I.

well she had a bad start, just nerves I think. but once she relaxed she had no problems at all. mabey just works a bit on dynamics, but it was good and show cased her voice

Ugh… I couldn't even stomach the whole thing. A weaker, screechier sound than her startlingly good debut. Sore throat maybe? Stick up her butt? Disappointment much?
I still think she wonderful, obviously nervous at the start, she knew what people were expecting so that alone would make anyone crack! However she got better as she warmed her voice up, would have liked to hear some of those power notes but still good. This got me hyped for Cats which I'm going to see in a couple of weeks!
