New "Music" From Scarlett Johansson!

Recorded in 2006, before Scarlett Johnansson's tragic Anywhere I Lay My Head, ScarJo recoded a duets album with Pete Yorn called Break Up.
According to Yorn, "I was having a strange week of insomnia and when I finally passed out, it came to me in a dream. I woke up and the whole thing was in my head, fully formed." Intrigued, ScarJo agreed to the project which Yorn had been fiercely protective of until now.
Break Up will be released in June, but here's one of the tracks off of it called Relator.
No amount of reverb can disguise ScarJo's headache-inducing vocals.
We love her, BUT…….
Just give it up girl, or sing in a different style!

She's not so bad. And the song does have some artistic merit to it.

She sounds really good and really interesting. Once again Perez, you have bad taste in music and seem to love the sort of generic pop crap the record companies ruined the industry with.

Her voice is fine; she has a very unique quality like singers of old, like Nico and progressive singers who knew how to sing (and not be completely over-produced like so many of today's singers). The song is good, the singing is good, and you were just primed to hate it from the start so there was no way you'd give it a fair shake. Have you heard her sing "Summertime"? She has a great voice, you should quit being so prejudiced from the start and ive her a chance.

Much improved over her other stuff! If she'd done more singing in the same style as the beginning of the song, it would have better though. The beginning was strong…but it faded somewhat as it went on.

Why US is the only country in the world where actors can only be actors, and singers only singers? In most Latin American countries, this is totally normal, so as in several Asian countries, like Japan and S. Korea.
Is a weird song, but I like it. Scarlett is really different to the trashy music that's so in these days. I can't believe some terrible singer like Lady GaGa is so popular, and not someone with a real voice like Scarlett.

Are you hearing what I'm hearing? Because I LOVE it!! I think she sings really well, I think she has a unique vocal sound. The only criticism I have is that it sounds, at times, slightly muffled but that's because of the studio mix.
i don't think it's a bad song and her voice for that style of music isn't so bad. It's all about what style people like. Just because it's not pop doesn't mean that it's not good music
