Washed-up rapper JaRule is speaking out about what he thinks are the evil homos that are destroying the U.S.A.
He tells the new issue of Complex magazine, "We need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these fucking shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can't watch this shit. Dating shows that's showing two guys or two girls in mid-afternoon. Let's talk about shit like that! If that's not fucking up America, I don't know what is."

Since when do little kids watch MTV? I know when I was a kid MTV was strictly forbidden in my house (and that was back in the day when they actually played videos). I don't know if I would label him as a "homophobe" just by that excerpt. He has a very good point about not wanting his young children watching shows like that during times where they could be watching t.v. Shows like that and the ads promoting shows with that story-line/basis should be on a schedule, where they play after most children go to bed (9pm-on.) Being homosexual is one thing, but it's the parents right to choose where and when to expose and explain it.

I just deleted the 3 songs I had of his on Itunes, ha ha. In a more politically correct way, however, I think that the shows that do portray homosexuals in a promiscuous manner are affecting the image of the gay community. One could argue that "well when they have straight people on them, they are promiscuous too" .. Yes, but heterosexuals are not fighting for inclusion into society, as a matter of fact they are the norm. I do believe that we need to be a bit more aware about how we portray people on television and educate children, early on in life, about the plethora of lifestyles that compose this world of ours. I do agree that MTV shouldn't show gays and lesbians on dating shows, because you can't just throw that into kid's faces when they are not educated about it. They are just either going to think its "cool" or they are going to say Yuk, fags! because that's what they've been taught to believe, even though those little kids maybe be gay themselves.
It's a vicious mind fuck of a cycle that is going nowhere, especially if gays accept the roles they are given.

He is entitled to his beliefs, and at least he cares to control what his kids are exposed to in their early years. There is very little on tv that is appropriate and educational for children. When the kids are old enough, they will form their own belief system. As we know, our parents don't ultimately determine our value system. I may not agree with his view but he is not out of line as a dad.
