Fox Speaks On Idol Voting Controversy

Fox has released a statement regarding accusations of voting irregularities during the American Idol finale which declared underdog Kris Allen the winner.

Show sponsor AT&T provided phones for texting at Idol finale parties in Arkansas supporting Kris Allen. And the AT&T employees taught partygoers how to cheat and send multiple text votes at once!

Says Fox:

├óΓé¼┼ôFox and the producers of ‘American Idol’ are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to insure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition.├óΓé¼┬¥

As host Ryan Seacrest mentioned on air last week, more than 100 million votes were cast during the finale and Allen had reportedly won by a large margin.

Even the maximum votes made with the AT&T phones were not enough to tip the competition.

The phone company still effed up but Kris Allen is America’s favorite!

Sorry, Glambert!
