Her makeup was inspired by a japanese street fashion called Ganguro gals. They put really dark foundation and wear white shadow around the eyes and white lipstick.

"embrace their culture"?? if anything she's mocking them. gothic-lolita style clothes like that, heavy ganguro makeup (thick black and white eyeliner and tanned skin, bleached hair) has been majorly out of style for years in japan. she just looks ignorant to all of them (or at least to me). when she takes off her glasses everyone gasps and laughs because of how OLD her makeup is. i'm not surprised japanese girls think her crazy hairdos and fashion are cool, and that's one thing, but the way she's dressed and made up in this clip is just awful.
