but,, really for your information,, adopting a child in America is not as easy as one might think,,
first of all,, if you have a child already,,, you cannot adopt a very young child in America,, those are reserved for people witthout kids,,
btw,, i'm talking about just regular adoption of kids in fostercare and such that nobody wants,, not private adoption,, that is a whole different messs in itself,
back to adopting American children,,
when a child if of an American Indian background,, you cannot just go and adopt that child,, you have to have American Indian background to do so,, and also,,, you cannot move that child away from the reservation usually,,,
I understand why Americans turn to adoptions out of the country,, it's a done deal,, most adoptions are final when leaving the country and you can have other children at home ,,
private adtoption in america requires a mother to pick you,, and it's usually "open",,

adopting in America is very hard,,
and the kids are in fostercare for years usually before the government will even let you adopt the child,,
private adoption cost two to three times as much as an out of country adoption and the mother can change her mind(in america) and you are out all that money it cost,,, paying her expenese,, etc,, if you adopt out of country it is final after leaving country,,(usuallly) but the mother cannot come back and change her mind,,
you should not judge people until you know the facts,,
plus,, america will not let you get babies if you have other children at home,, and the waiting list to get a healthy infant could take many years here in America,,

that would of made her 12 when that child was born,,
that does not make sense,,
only older couples are usually suited to adopt older children,,
most older children in american adoption system have huge special needs,, alot of them are considered dangerous to be around other children,, so it's best if only older people adopt that have no other young children at home,,
alot of kids taken from their parents have a history of abuse,, alot of times sexually,, so that is always a concern when adopting a child that has been sexually abused,, because these children sometims sexually abuse aother children,,
so,, before you judge who adopts who,, you should think about how older children are not always great to adopt

Silly bitch is just as superficial as all hollywood stars. It's fashion to go out and buy yourself a kid. Buying from Africa gives you big credit points apparently for your rep atm for little money or effort.
I guess the instant gratification of the tabloids wouldn't of occurred if she just adopted a US baby, even if she was stuck on a "black" model. It would have required a showing of true commitment and a bit more financal sacrifice. Trouble is it wouldn't be as news worthy as an "african" one so why go through the effort and hence the whole reason of adoption would have been pointless in the first place.
Frankly she's a plain looking mamma and a bit of a bossy boots that no man would hang around for long enough. Not surprised she can't get knocked up herself. Probably too afraid.
I dont understand why all of these celebrities are adopting from other countries seemingly without even exploring the children that need good homes in the US. What ever happened to taking care of home 1st?????
I know P's comment was meant as an offhand joke, but it's not far from the reality of it. Why is it that these people consistently have to run to Africa to adopt? There are children all over the world in destitute conditions. Of course if they did that though, you wouldn't see how 'progressive' these fame whores are. If it sincerely was about being selfless..why not adopt a special needs child? Who better than to do something like that, than someone who could afford to get this child the extra help they need in life? But it's not about that.. they wouldn't look quite as 'glamourous' jetsetting the globe with a child that had Downs Syndrome or the like, would they?
Think about this.. how often do you see pictures of Angelina Jolie toting around her own kid vs. one of her adoptees? Good thing they have the money..poor Shiloh will need the counseling later, for self esteem issues. Watch her teen years. Perez will have fodder for Shiloh like he has for Britney.
Unless you are knowledgeable about adopting domestically as opposed to internationally, don't knock it. Sadly, in domestic adoptions, the adoptive parents need more rights. Children can be taken away at a moment's notice. Can you imagine how that feels? At least internationally the child is yours forever. Done deal. Plus, the wait is typically much shorter for a child when adopting internationally.

That's a retarded thing to say. Here, a child with out a family is raised with in our system if they are not adopted. In other countries, the only system in place is death. You really have no idea of the horrors suffered by children who reside outside of America. I think it is commendable for anyone to adopt a child from anywhere though, so quit questioning the love and be happy that one less child will die.

Because the children of hawaii are not surrounded by war. When they get older they will have many more freedoms and opportunities for even being born American. Though I agree…our foster care/ adoption programs in America need ALOT of work…….. but still…. Taking in a child from those countires gives them the opportunity to grow more than they would have ever if they stayed in their home country(the war and poverty riddled ones..) I say anyone that adopts any children should be commended! It doesnt matter what country they are from…they are still doing a wonderful thing opening their hearts and homes. The whole "bandwagon" thing….. well it may be "true" for some of the celebs…but the MASS MAJORITY just want someone to love and be loved….and are going into it for the right reasons. So I say kudos to her and anyone else that adopts..more people should be like that and I wish nothing but the best for her and her new child!
how come nobody ever adopts from the UNITED STATES? there are more foster children than the system can handle. I challenge a celebrity to adopt an older child from the juvenile court system. then, THEN we will have faith in your charitable and giving ways, instead of now, when celebrities are adopting designer babies.

There are MILLIONS and MILLIONS of orphans in Africa who don't have a roof over their head, food on their plate or medical attention. This can NOT be said of children in the US foster care system…. There are also many families who have attempted to adopt in the US only to have their children ripped from their arms and returned to the druggie birth mother… people adopt internationally for many reason… because it is perceived as a "fad" by fools in NOT one of them.

It's not as simple as walking into your local courthouse and asking for a child!! Take a look at the real children that are available, and the requirements for adopting a child from the US foster care system.

Reading all the negative comments towards people who do good in this World is upsetting. No wonder why this World is filled with wars, racism, poverty and the like! It is b/c of the attitudes of people filled with the negativity like yours. We ALL live in ONE place - PLANET EARTH. Why not try and make the world a better place for your biological children as they are doing for their adoptive children and create a world with love and peace for everyone. A child is a child. It should not matter where they come from. It is not your place to dictate who adopts from what country. Nor do you know if any of these celebrities will or are trying to adopt from America. Before people start saying things about adopting children from the USA, they need to be educated. There are plenty of American children who need homes, and it does not matter if you have given birth prior to adopting or not if you want to adopt an infant. It is far more expensive to adopt outside of the US and more risky as far as health issues and adopting the child later in their life, after they have been orphaned, etc. Two of our children came to us at 2 days old…and they know their birht parents which helps with knowing their identity.
