Now that the ratings have dropped, they decide to exploit themselves and their children even more. This is really sad and pathetic…..those children are going to be really messed up.
What this woman - and TLC - won't do for ratings???
TLC has too much invested - as in another season - with these narcissists to let go. Kate needs to keep her money train a-rollin' - all those spa treatments take $$$ after all. And with the huge ratings drops, well…

Yeah, great idea. Announce the the world that you're getting divorced so your kids can grow up and relive one of the worst moments of their life over and over.
Re: Brunette Barbie – You have the most sensible idea of the bunch. I'll bet that's it. I know they talked about moving to Florida. It would be crazy to divorce. One would hope they would work on a marriage a lot longer than 7 months or so. Try 7 years and then see how it goes. Good luck to them. I really used to like the show and the kids are adorable.

I don't think they are splitting up. They are probably just quitting filming and getting some therapy so they can begin to put their family back together.

Nah, I think (hope) their going to announce their canceling the show, Seriously because how can airing your divorce in public be better for the family?? If they are smart they will cancel the show and keep some shred of a normal life for their kids.
It's either one of two things. They're either going to cancel the show or announce they're getting a divorce. They could probably keep the show going even if they are divorced and it would probably be easier than this charade that's going on now. Plus the money is good. So I'm think it's probably to announce a divorce.
Kate is not pregnant. It would be best if they remain friends if they're divorcing, much better for the kids. They have been on the outs for months and see where your nasty mouth got you Kate……you put Jon down one too many times and a divorce is the result.

This marriage is too far gone for there to be any kind of reconciliation. It's over, done, finished. Counselling would be useless for these two. Once it's over, it's over and this mis-matched pair will now just have to focus on the kids, split up the assets and move on.
I think they are quitting TLC… if she is at all a mom and a wife, she will do what's best, give up the crazy life, move somewhere quiet and work on her family…

I'm guessing they're going to divorce or this will be their last season. I think it would be a better decision to end their show and try to work on their marriage, keep the family together without the cameras..
Again, I just sense this is a ploy and the announcement will be seemingly small… like Jon will not be on or he will be getting a real job. There is no way Kate is quiting this gravy train.

I'am betting on a divorce the writing is on the wall , they have been separated for sometime now just tell the truth and move on. TLC just needs to change the name to Jon or Kate plus 8.
Since she is the one with all the speaking engagements and writing the books she probably makes more money than him and would have to pay him child support and alimony. Especially since he is the "stay at home dad". That is why that selfish biatch won't ever divorce him.

I'm hoping they're going to try to save their family and stop then show. The kids are going to be going to school soon, and it should end, as much fun as it's been to watch before this season, they shouldn't have made it a full show, they should have stuck with the hour yearly specials. It's not true that she can't get pregnant naturally. I have the same syndrome she has (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and I was fortunate enough to start meds (not fertility meds; Metformin) which allowed my body to ovulate and I became pregnant…three times in less than three years. It can be difficult, certainly, but not impossible. Anyway, I agree that it's going to be something completely anticlimactic.

My money's on that they're ending the show. If I were them I'd focus on my family, and to appease TLC and the fans, and for my own personal interest, I would do a yearly special and that's it. Whether or not that's what it is, we'll find out.

Now the show is about Jons new motorcycle and Kates many trips to the "spa." No one can relate to them anymore. The ratings dropped by 1 million viewers between the season premier and now! They are just trying to make it look like something big so they can get 10 million ppl to watch again. They realized everyone watched the first episode to see what ws going on and after that no one cared anymore. This is just a ploy to get viewers.

Well, if they're divorcing, or even separating, that's not much of a surprise. My big concern is the kids though because of the economy. They really need support for those kids. My biggest hope is that someone will or has set up a trust-find for their college expenses. They will need it (as long as Kate can't touch that money!)

The more I hear about these two, the more they disgust me. I never gave them much thought before all these scandals I just thought that they had cameras come in their home once in a while but now I realize just how much their entire lives revolve around the show and it's really sad. This preview ad for the next episode is very disturbing because despite what the actual "announcement" is going to be it does imply that they are going to announce their divorce on the show and that's an obvious ploy to get more viewers to tune in. They are totally exploiting their marraige, their children and it seems as though they'll stop at nothing to make more money. They have no shame and should be very, very
ashamed of themselves. I can't wait until all this hype dies down and reality sets in for them.

They have had opportunities they would have never had if they did not have the show.I do not like whiny Jon and he clearly has become "mr single lately", 2 seater car, new earring, smoking rolled up cigs, hanging with younger girlfriend, and getting drunk in bars. His has already divorced his family responsiblities.

They are not in a good place with their viewing audience right now and are probably going to break from shooting for a season.
People saying she the announcement must not watch the show. She was artificial inseminated twice and that is how the kids came to be. So, the likelihood of her being pregnant is super slim.
I think it's divorce or the show is ending early and will not be returning, or both. More than likely divorce and it will only be Kate's show because clearly Jon has been done with it for awhile it seems.
The dude was only 24 or something when they had those babies making it 8 kids, that is sooooo young for such a heavy load. Not to mention the criticism Kate always managed to put him through. Frankly, watching the show since the beginning I learned a few things:
Jon is an asshole 90% of the time and you can tell it is because he is very insecure with himself {his wife's doing?}
Kate is a control freak, super bossy, super bitchy, not very loving or affectionate, she belittles Jon all the time on film and she is just a cold person.
Those kids are going to have it so hard now with going back and fourth and having to share their parents before was nothing compared to what it will be now if they divorce.

I read in many reports, that Kate has confirmed that she and jon are going to get a divorce and will be seperated mid-july , but they will still do the show ,because they are contracted for 40 episodes , jon is apparently getting an apartment, but to be honest I think they're just going to go therapy, of course it will all be filmed, they need money, considering they really don't have jobs ( i loved the show in the beginning , but now it's just so sad to watch, there's no love in that family anymore , you can just read the sadness in their faces)

I use to lovee this show.. but now that i see them on mags and such.. its getting weird to watch.
a bun in the oven perhaps? i don't think they would announce a divorce. i think they might quit the show because of all this negative press they are getting. which is too bad. why did everyone have to say such mean things about this couple? even if some of those things were true, who cares? no marriage is perfect. i think they would be over reacting by quiting the show. they have tons of viewers so they can't be replaced that easily.
kate is trying to set jon up. the reason for the rumored divorce is because if his infedility, when she is the one who told him to see other girls! as soon as papers came out that he had a mistress, she was all smiles and excited at the end of that episode and said, "we have some ironing out to do." jon looked visibly upset. she should of been upset about jon's affair, not happy about it. if she is seeing that bodygaurd, she was seeing him long before jon had that mistress or young female friend or whatever you want to call her. and so, poor jon. his wife left him for this bodygaurd, then sets him up and says he can see other women. when he does, he is "caught cheating" and it all just makes jon look bad, when kate devised the whole thing. because it matters in divorce hearings who was adulterous and who wasn't. it matters who fault the divorce is. it's kate's fault, not jon's. this is all assuming there is a contract for jon to see other women. in reality, he did NOTHING wrong except not file for divorce right away when she proposed the whole girlfriend thing and then get a PI to watch his wife and the bodygaurd. then he would of avoided all this drama for himself.
