Nip/Tuck Is Over/Out

FX's Nip/Tuck has been cancelled.
Tears!
The last episode, which will also be the series 100th episode, wrapped on June 12th - but don't expect to be seeing the finale anytime soon.
It won't be airing until 2011!!
Cast and crew have been left with an unsettling feeling regarding the completion of the series - mainly because most of the crew followed creator Ryan Murphy over to Fox for Glee.
Turns out Murphy wasn't even present for the filming of the last ep!
"It's sad because it feels incomplete," Diana Valentine, a script supervisor for Nip/Tuck lamented to reporters about the finale. "It feels incomplete, kind of separate. It's very hard."
Although difficult, most agreed that it was time for the record-breaking show to end.
"I feel we've reached a creative impasse with regards to what we can do with this story," Nip/Tuck actor John Hensley (who played Matt) reveals.
He continues: "I just feel that we were a show that was very good and innovative at one point and we've gone the way of so many shows before us. Our moment has passed."

This isn't news Perez World! This has been in the contracts since last year! they were always going to end in 2012. The shows ending has been in the minds of the writers for some time.

Two years? Seriously? No matter how much I love a show, I usually forget about it after the break between seasons. Nobody's going to remember this shit 2 years from now.

Remember how Ava turned out to be a man!?!!?! Awesome! and Britney snow as a white supremacist, how messed up Gina was, the fake british med student, and all that good messed up shit.
But when they left miami, it wasnt the same, and yeah it ran its course, breast cancer, wilbert, marriage? they toned it down, could have done more with the julia lesbian arc - can't say what i'll be doing in two years, but i'll try to catch it.

It is an incredibly sad day in the history of television. From the beginning, Nip/Tuck has been exceptionally crafted and beautifully written. This can only be described as the best TV show ever to grace our screens!

2 years? No way, the show was good, but not THAT good. The plot was predictable and the characters as well. But it was a good way to spend some time, however if they honestly think people will go watch it 2 years from now they are fairly mistaken.
This was a very interesting show..when they were all in Florida, as soon as the ladies opened the day spa it turned into the worst soap opera crap..and then moving to California, only made it more stupid. Good first season, no staying power. Doubt many will miss this.

Have to say that the show was one of my faves but jumped the shark awhile ago. There was a great season finale and they should have left it as is for the series finale. New best show on now is Nurse Jackie. CREEPY and fantastic. It's only been on 2 episodes and I am hooked.
Oh, yeah, I wait forever for the Larry David show and I don't care how long I have to wait as long as it doesn't go away for good. There is so much they can do still.

what perez fails to note, is that there are 2 more seasons that will air in the interim (19 episodes). So it's not like we'll be waiting 2 years to see one episode, we'll get to see 18 episodes over the next two years leading up to the finale in 2011.

This is bad reporting….the new season starts 2010. There will be a full season split in two so yes the last one airs 2011. This has been the plan for nip/tuck for along time and everyone who cares knows but you, Perez.

Hey asshole, you should read the whole article before reporting on something. The article said that it's a 19 episode 2-part storyline, which begins airing in January of next year. God, can you not even read the whole article before stealing it??

They announced this over a year ago that this would be the final season. It wasn't "canceled" it already had an end date…like Lost!

Wasn't this in the works for a while and a mutual decision to end the show? Either way, the show has been unwatchable for years. The first 2 seasons were great but it went way downhill after that.
