i live in dubai and in holiday resorts wearing a bikini is fine but when ur on a public beach and around emiraties then its disrespectful.
Fuck that! Believe me, if they want tourist dollars, they'll put up with all sorts of things that are against their religion. Gambling, drinking, homosexing, prostituting, strippers. That whole religion thing goes right out the window, behind closed doors. Just like in America!!!

PUH-LEAS!!! I live in Dubai, and I go to the beach and pool nearly every day, in BIKINI as does everyone else. She can wear a bikini to the beach all she wants, as long as she covers up in places where a bikini wasn't designed to be worn! I'm sure she's got some good advisors so she won't get in trouble here… I hope.

bikinis are commonplace on the beaches in dubai. your perception of dubai is way off base- while not perfect, women can wear bikinis without worry on the beach and at pools. i have not changed the way i dress in any way since moving here almost a year ago- aside from more sleeveless tops since it's so freaking hot here.
