We see this as the beginning of juicier details to come about the diminishing relationship between Jon and Kate Gosselin!
In a statement released by Kate in reference to the divorce, she insists that Jon forced her hand in filing for a divorce because of certain, unexplained “activities” on Jon’s part:
“Over the course of this weekend, Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children. While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself.”
Once this statement became public, Jon released his own, naturally, claiming he was “hurt” by Kate’s remarks and proceeded to describe a cookie-cutter weekend with his kids:
“I have always done everything I can to protect our family. This weekend, I was home with the kids for four days, just being a dad. No nannies, just the kids and me. In fact, with the exception of Aaden’s visit to the doctor, I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend Father’s Day weekend.”
Sir, we believe you are forgetting your little trip to Manhattan to scope out a bachelor pad in Trump Place. We’re pretty positive that is what set Kate off. Woman’s a bitch, but hell if she isn’t a smart bitch. She ain’t paying your way through your pre-mature mid-life crisis, nor should she have to.
Now, there will be equal division of assets, although we are interested to see what that will mean for the children.
