Prudish broadcasters in Texas have pulled this ad for PETA featuring a pretty near naked Alicia Silverstone.
We kinda feel bad for Alicia, though. She's not really working much these days besides this ad!

Ok, in what way is this ad connected to the benifits of being a vegitarian? it so tiring when people expose women like that!
first of all, texas is the only state that broadcasted this ad in all of the US, so i don't see how that makes the state prude (and the fact that a piece of land cannot be prude). and second, all of texas did not pull this ad, only houston, supposedly dallas is still playing it.

Perez, Alicia Silverstone is working on more than ads. I saw her a few months back at the Geffen Playhouse in David Mamet's play Speed-the-Plow. She was very good. It was an excellent production overall.

I doubt Texas broadcasters pulled this just because it shows skin. It's not racy at all. More likely, they pulled it b/c vegetarianism contradicts the values of Texas, which is pro-beef!! I'm glad to see this ad is out there but it probably won't influence folks in the South too much - they love their meat and they are the fattest folks in the country. GoVeg!!
