Prudish broadcasters in Texas have pulled this ad for PETA featuring a pretty near naked Alicia Silverstone.
We kinda feel bad for Alicia, though. She's not really working much these days besides this ad!

this ad probably got pulled in our state because we are the only people smart enough to realize peta is fucking crazy. they are extremists who care more about animals than about PEOPLE. if we dont advertise peta here then those crazy ass people wont come down here and throw red paint on our fur coats and boycott our fabulous steakhouses. God put meat on this earth for us to ENJOY so if you like meat cool, and if you dont, cool also. why would anyone feel like they have the right to harrass someone that doesn't share their views? mind your own fucking business and quit being so goddamn sensitive!
"I HAVE MORE ENERGY" LIE LIE LIE LIE - Vegetarians are WEAK & their libido goes down. That means they have no sex drive, me NO horny. I know a Veggie that went to live in the cold North West where is cool a lot of the year. She HAD to start to eat a little meat to stay warm and have energy. The biggest threat to animals is infringement on animal habitat. That Alicia is wealthy makes her more of a contributor to the extinction of animals than even common folk who eat meat and/or wear fur. And do they question the widespread agricultural implications to the earth and to animals if everone went vegan? Would we just set all the cows and chickens free?

Re: Erin – actually erin, i know the person that okayed the commercial, so yes they approved the commercial to be shown, where no one else in america approved it because of it's nudity. they are trying to pull it off as if it was because of "demographics" because no one in america thinks nudity is ok in a commercial. so really texans are reacting to the commercial the way all other cable networks reacted to it from just previewing the commercial.

although I don't neccesarily think the ad shouldve been censored….I disagree with so many things about peta. PETA (people for extortion, terrorism, and agression) terrorizes animal shelter owners for putting down pets who are unhealthy or cannot be adopted, in order to make room for youner pets who have a chance, meanwhile peta headquarters puts down hundreds of animals a year….hypocrites! and that is just one of millions of things peta has got wrong! check out penn and teller bullshit episode on peta or do some research yourself.

That is just one of many reasons I tell people I'm not originally from Texas. As a vegetarian myself I'm proud she's passionate about not contributing to a needless animal death. I have many friends that work with Peta firsthand so I feel the need to clear up the little misconception that everyone who gets involved with Peta is an extremist and/or a head case!
