Prudish broadcasters in Texas have pulled this ad for PETA featuring a pretty near naked Alicia Silverstone.
We kinda feel bad for Alicia, though. She's not really working much these days besides this ad!

Meat is a part of a healthy diet
This is absoutely about beef and not about nudity.
PETA-PORNOGRAPHY for the EQUAL TREATMENT of ANIMALS. Why do they have to resort to sexy actresses/models and have subliminal ads? Can't they get the message across without all the nakedness? I am a vegetarian, but I don't see the whole point of all the PETA ads being that of Pam Anderson, or Supermodels, and now Alicia, all naked.

I am not for PETA as I feel any "extreamist" group is a bit nutty. I am for the ethical treatment of animals and was a vegitarian for a few years. I am a native Texan and I dont think that they arent airing it because its too sexual - I think its because Texas is a big MEAT state. Here, if you dont eat meat its like there is something wrong with you. Again, with the right wing "extreamists" (also nutty) here - it can make for a very sheltered, see what we want you to see society.
Fucking meat industry. They are why the ad was pulled.
It is okay, Alicia….us vegetarians have a much healthier life and know we are doing good for animals and the environment. Fuck the haters.

It's Texas where cattle reign supreme. Of course they pulled the ad. All they needed was any excuse to keep a sexy ad for vegetarians off the air. There's not enough skin shown in that ad to offend the Pope but the message sure did piss off some cattle ranchers!

I'm from Texas and I believe that they pulled this ad because of the whole goveg thing. Not because she's naked. (which does look good) We're big on meat here so that is most likely the reason.
The ban on this ad has little to do with prudish-ness. Texas is cattle country. People here get pissed off when you mess with the cattle industry. Just ask Oprah. Sad but true..

I don't see anything wrong with this ad. It fits along with all the campaigns that PETA has had (whether be naked than wear fur, etc) It should be played on TV.
