You guys don't get it. Joe is old school, and felt a huge obligation to represent the family as an acknowledgement and nod to the huge public outpouring of support for his son. He also accompanied Janet. He was no saint; but that was years ago; in the sixties most kids got whippings (spare the rod and spoil the child, be seen and not heard, etc.) and most turned out OK. It's just the last decade or two that physical discipline became frowned upon. Joe is trying to be strong outwardly, but he just lost his son. He is in denial, but he is trying to represent. Give him a break. He's probably hurting more than anyone.
I'm sure the family will be all broken up when they find out MJ donated all his money to Elizabeth Taylors Foundation.
Wouldn't that be a hoot!
He needs to stay away from the mic. The men in that family need to get together and finally put this disguisting jerk "in his place"!!
Hey my son died so now I can hit the red carpet. Finally people want to talk to me. LOOOOOOSER!
Only the good die young….this old scuzball will live forever. How typical!
mario - why don't you be Joe Jackson's official media outlet. that way I'll know how to avoid both of you.
he is just in it for the money, to promote himself, sad.
He tried to pimp his label (while dressed like a pimp). Hard to feel bad for someone who beats his own children. I hope Katherine keeps him away from his grandkids.
Could he have at least faked that he was upset….its hard to even listen to him…
Joe Jackson "invented" the Jackson 5. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Michael's entire life experience made him into the "Music Deity" that he was. His existence was "All Good". Look at the indelible mark he left on the world. "He's the greatest musical talent that ever did it". PERIOD. Michael did exactly what he intended to do, to make himself "immortal". And most of us already thought he was immortal anyway. I thought he had superpowers the first time I saw him MoonWalk on Motown's 25th Anniversary special. Thus creating the current extreme shock of his death, because most of us thought he would live forever. RIP-MJ
Pathetic SOB! If that is where his (Joe's) heart is it doubtful he will see his son again. Very sad and distrubing to watch. RIP Michael Why doesn't one of the more stable Jackson siblings step in to help with his kids. Do you actually think after all he has gone through he'd want his kids in the same house with this man and right on with the doormat of a mother comment! She should have protected MJ and her kids from this evil man — what gives her the right to raise these grandkids –not to mention she's flipping 80 years old. Cmon Jackson Family — someone finally stand up to this man (and yes those cockroaches by his side — Hi Al! Hi Jesse!). Do the right thing — think about what your brother would want for these children — DO NOT LET THEM LIVE WITH THIS UNGRATEFUL MAN. I had a grandfather similar to Joe Jackson and he ruined my mother for life. Just painful video to watch.
Awkward! I understand sometimes people want to hide their emotions, but to say they're doing great sounds weird. And then to promote their blu ray thing si just dumb. That is not the right moment nor right place to talk about business. Joe Jackson's so disappointing.
