In sharp contrast to Joe Jackson, Janet truly is sad about her brother's passing and it was brave of her to take the stage to speak to the audience.
That was so heart felt. It so sad and she is very brave for doing that! RIP MJ
So touching. I can really feel her grief.
To those who thinks she was cold or detached, please, don't confuse dignity with lack of feeling.
Janet and Michael were so close, I think death can't divide their souls.

Take note, "daddy" Joe… Janet is the greatest example of keeping it classy and appropriate. She didn't promote anything like you did and she was visibly upset; which is very normal. Joe is a crook!

Every one is feeling this. Some of the comments are so sweet. The negative comments from this iambored poster are posting over and over under different names. People like Mayer, Aniston, Will I and few others have an axe to grind with Perez. If this iambored person cared about MJ he would have said a kind word about MJ but while he is posting what Perez said about MJ, I notice iambored don't care about MJ either.

All I can say is that of all of the Jackson family, I think she actually has a heart. It was apparent that she was in pain. When you contrast her simple heartfelt emotion with that of her father, there is simply no comparison

Bless her and her family. I can't imagine how difficult it was to stand up there so soon after this tragedy but I'm proud of her and I hope they can all find some semblance of peace in their lives.
This has just been such a sad, tragic few days. My heart is still broken over the loss of such an icon!!!
When I saw Janet speak & the performance by Jamie Foxx & Ne-Yo right after, I definitely shed some tears. I just wish his father seemed as sincere though. His torture is over now. He's in a much better place.

That was painful. To anyone who says she was faking it: first of all, these kinds of emotions are hard to fake. Secondly, she's not a great actress. Have you seen her act in movies? So, to you, she may be faking, but in reality, I'm sure she was forced (either by BET or her family or management) to speak, but it was hard for her. It doesn't matter how often she and Michael saw each other. They were close. Those of us who are away from family can attest to the fact that it's very possible not to see family but still be close to them.
