Man Complains About Local McDonalds….To 911!!!

A man who was allegedly ripped off by a McDonalds in Clackmas, Oregon, was so angry at the drive-thru employees that he called 911 on them!
Repeatedly!!!
Jeremy Lloyd Martin cried to 911 operators that the employees at McDonalds overcharged him for a hamburger and fries!
Granted, he says he paid $10 for the normally $2 meal, but still!
That's shiz you complain to a manager about, not 911!!!
The dispatcher told Martin just that: "Sir, this is not a police matter," the 911 operator is heard saying on the tape of the call. "You need to take it up with the manager of the McDonald's."
Martin was far from dropping the issue! He called 911 back and told the dispatcher, "This is a 911 emergency… I got robbed for eight dollars."
The dispatcher replied: "Sir, 911 is life-and-death only. If you do continue calling 911 you will be arrested for misuse."
But Martin wasn't giving up, no way!
"Well, arrest me at (expletive) 82nd and Sunnyside Road… Please send a cop right now. I swear to God all my life…," he reportedly yelled at the operator.

After the fact, the hamburglar-ee apparently still believes his situation was a honest-to-god emergency. Said Martin: "I was very upset that they tried to charge me for food I had already paid for."
The McDonalds employee working the drive-thru that night made a 911 call herself: to complain of three men harassing her from outside of the fast food restaurant.
Guess who we believe?!

911 is not just a life and death emergency line. If someone steals money from you, then its an emergency. Good for him for making the police earn their money. If a company tries to steal your money in front of your face, you have the right to call the police.
I'd be kinda pissed too not enough to call 911 but still pissed could've gotten 3 more meals for that.

as an oregonian, i'm embarrased to say this is the second time in the last 2 mths some dumbass has been arrested for a mcdonalds mishap, last mth in hillsboro oregon a man was arrested for calling 911 to complain mcd's forgot his orange juice in his order and was angry they would not give him another to compensate him! not to sound ignorant or against any paticular race both people are of another race. He actually told police that the person working the drive through window had a gun pointed at him. This was the only reason the police came to the scene. Obviously it was a lie and they used the opportunity to arrest the 23 year old kid who was probably high on meth. Welcome to Oregon!

There's a separate line for NON-EMERGENCY police calls. Was this man too lazy to simply walk into the McDonalds, explain what happened and get his money back? He must not be too bright, you'd think he'd realize that he was overcharged BEFORE he gave them the damn money.

There have been stories like this in the news before. Idiot customers don't like a price, so they call the police or 9-1-1 to complain, thinking they have a reason. They think wrong. I think local news should run a series of stories on the right and wrong uses of 9-1-1 services. Since it is clear not everyone has common sense.
At least he didnt find a dead mouse in his burger,like it happened before.The person actually took a bite out of the burger and felt wiskers,looked,open the bun and found he had biten into half burger half dead mouse.Hope they got a huge settlement

i work for maccas in australia and i wish that this was a one off incident, but we get customers 'claiming' we steal their money more than once a week. Last friday I gave a guy his drink *this was before he payed for the order* and then started going off at me saying i stole his five dollars and charged him twice. I'm like dude i didn't even charge you for anything yet. And he's like than where's my five dollars? Went on for ten minutes. omg. i hate people.
