How cool would this have been to see???
One of the closely guarded secrets from Michael Jackson's "This Is It" concert spectacular was going to be a new 3D mini-film, nicknamed the "Dome Project."
Jackson finished shooting the project only two weeks ago. It included recreations of the Thriller music video in which "the audience would have felt like they were visiting the Thriller experience, like they were there," according to Vince Pace, the man behind the 3D cameras used for the shoot.
Wow.
That would have been awesome!
The production took 5 weeks to complete with only a week of actual shooting, most of which the King of Pop was present for. Said Pace, "To think that Michael's gone now, that's probably the last documented footage of him to be shot in that manner."
Sadly, Jackson's frail demeanor was evident to the crew on the 3D shoot even a few weeks ago. Michael introduced himself to the whole crew and walked "with a spring in his step," but needed assistance when walking down steps.
Along with the recreation of the Thriller set, a "lush jungle" set was built for "This Is It", as well as a replication of a construction site including "scantily clad male dancers wearing carpenter's belts."
We're sure this footage will be released…eventually.

Re: minaahm – Are you really sure Michael Jackson has out sold Elvis? Elvis Presley has sold over 1.3 billion records & has more number 1 records & more top 10 hits than Michael Jackson. Plus Elvis could play the guitar, bass, Piano & drums. He also made Gospel, Country, Blues, & rock'n roll records. Michael made f'n disco records & cheezy ballad. Elvis was all natural & went with beautiful women. Michael was a plastic surgery freak with bleached skin who slept with little boys.

Re: cattsa – Thanks, it seems like everybody has been blinded by the press, put out by his people, to increase sales. The funny thing is everyone is buying into it. They're walking around with blind folds & are not looking at the truth about this guy. If we were in Thailand this guy woulda been in Jail with Gary Glitter. To me child molestation is just as bas as murder. It starts with a few but we can make an army!!

It's obvious that you know nothing about being a musician and being dedicated to your art. A true artist challenges himself without thinking about his record sales. It's like Johnny Depp takes on challenging roles that may be commerical suicide, but they make him better at his craft. So, get off your See'n Say & find something to challenge you!

Second he does know how to play instruments he knows how to play the guitar and drums. As far as his music he combined rock pop and r&b together to get the music that you hear now. So before you decide to make a comment make sure you do your homework first.

look, i understand what you mean by artists should challenge themselves. and i agree with you. i am actually a fan of prince. but to say michael jackson wasn't a musician is going too far. and that song nelly did with tim mcgraw still had an element of hip/hop in the song.
