PerezHilton.com has just exclusively confirmed with the Jonas Brothers' publicist that eldest bro, Kevin, 21, is engaged to marry his longtime girlfriend, Danielle.
His parents, Kevin Sr. and Denise Jonas, just released the following statement: "Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle Deleasa for her hand in marriage. Her answer was yes and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our families celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. I would just like to remind everyone that his parents got married when they were 18 and were engaged after only dating for 6 months so he waited a good while, but I do feel like they will have a long engagement just because of how busy the boys are right now. uhh two years isn't exactly what i'd call a "longtime girlfriend." yes it's a good amount of time to be dating someone and if he was older it would be appropriate to propose after two years but 21 years old? are you kidding me? this is not going to end well for him. he is a young pop star whose fame keeps getting bigger. he is constantly away on tour and other performances and is also busy shooting his disney show. they will get married and he'll just have to jet set off again and be away from her. she is a regular person, not a celeb. yeah they've been together for two years but does she really understand what being married and away from your husband a lot is going to be like? What about when they have kids?
i could see if their "longterm relationship" was 6 or 7 years and they dated before he hit it big, but getting engaged THIS YOUNG after this SHORT amount of time is only going to lead to divorce. Ok, I really like the Jonas Bros, but this is the beginning of the end for them. As they start to get married and growing up, girls will stop loving them like they do now.
This is what purity rings do, you should notice that all this virgin boys and girls that wear purity rings and make promises to remain virgins until marriage get married really early and most of them end up divorced a year later. You end up rushing to the altar because you want to have sex so bad.
As for Kevin and Danielle, I feel like 21 is too young to get married and that he's rushing so he can have sex with her. Now, unlike some people I believe they'll stay together, since that's how they were raised and his parents got married at 19. Still, I just hope neither Kevin ot Danielle realize they made a mistake after they get married, because young people's marriages tend to be extra difficult and it takes a lot to make it work. Besides Kevin sounds immature, when he talks he doesn't sound like a 21 year old.

They are not too young,its just that most people nowadays wanna stay single and date around a longer time. in my parents and grandparents days they would marry early 20s, my grandma was 17 when they married and they were still together last year when she dies, over 50 happy years, and my parents have been together 20 years and love each other so much. Most marriages dont last nowadays because people jump into themthinking its love, but these two were friends turned more who are in love and want to get married. It will last!
