Charlotte Church gave birth to a baby girl on Friday morning and she did it the old fashioned way. The Welsh star delivered at home with the help of midwives.
Rugby stud Gavin Henson, Char's boyfriend, was present for the birth.
Congratulations! It must have hurt without any drugs!!!

It's so mean to call her fat! I think she looks absolutely adorable pregnant, and I'm impressed that she had a natural birth. Congrats, you go girl!
Perez, you should not scare women into thinking that they can not do without drugs when giving birth. I had no drugs whatsoever for my three births, it can be done. There will always be a degree of discomfort (if you must, pain)but you have to realize that in the long run, if you can do without drugs, it is best for your child. And remember ladies, there is nothing better for taking off the weight and shrinking that uterus faster than breast feeding, and the bond that you create by doing so is priceless.
And at the baby shower matching mother and baby tredmills were gifted by Princes William and Harry to help with the baby phat issue.

I think the point she might have been making is that the British were being bombed constantly during 80s and early 90s by the IRA. It's not something new to them and they have had to live with it on a day to day basis. However, if she had known the amount of lives lost at the TT and the horror of the day itself then I am sure she wouldn't have made those comments. No one would wish that day on anyone….
Can we just talk about the fact about how flippin fat she looks? OMG, the baby will weigh anywhere from 5-8 lbs… not 70!!! GEEZE….. Charolette doesnt even look like what she used to… so pure. christian, etc… but now.. just fat, and whoaaaaaaaa. Not to be mean, but mannnn.. not even the same person.
Yeah! I had my babies with no drugs. 1st one 48 hours of hard intense labor, 2nd one 14 hours of hard intense labor! Midwives have been delivering babies alot longer than doctors. Yeah for her!

I, Like a moron, gave birth to my daughter at home, without drugs…Happy NOW i did it, but at the time, would have killed for drugs….Advice to the young woman of today…Take the drugs….Trust me, The baby won't remember if you took drugs or not…Take the drugs…Child birth REALLY, REALLY FUCKIN' HURTS!!!!….If anyone offers you drugs during childbirth…SAY YES….JUST SAY YES!!!! I did a drug free birth with my youngest Daughter.. It hurt like mad!! But it was over before I knew it and you forget about the pain… It's not so bad!

I wonder if she had a water birth, like I heard she was planning. That seems like a very humane, practical way to give birth.

jeez you americans are such wimps! Most women in the UK give birth with minimal drugs (gas and air) Ive had 4 like this . Midwives deliver in most cases- no need for a doctor either. I suppose that why you lot have such a high infant mortality rate! Grow a back bone and give birth naturally!

AWESOME & congratulations to Charlotte & hubby. Wow, an independent thinker in this day and age - will wonders never cease? There's no need for drugs during pregnancy; they make the recovery harder. And good for her for not adopting because she doesn't want to "ruin her figure" … like so many celebs. And good for her for not scheduling an unnecessary c-section like so many stupid American women!
I did not think Perez's comments about her birth were negative - just an honest reaction: "Must have hurt!" But I agree with most of you that natural birth is THE way to go!! Women were designed to give birth - to say they can't, shouldn't, or are "RETARDED" for doing so is idiotic! Best way for mom and baby.

It's a very personal thing and it should be up to the individual to chose how she goes through with the birth. Congratulations for being the 'better person' and going through a childbirth without drugs *sarcasm*, but that doesn't give you the right to put down others who do not subscribe to your views.

( a myth byw) a big clue is life is not ever pain free its is how we grow as a human race. but they buy all that hype the allopathic world promotes in order to charge more for hospital births. and the media's portrayal of births on tv as scary and bloody.. go charlotte..
