Rosie O'Donnell recently turned down an invitation from Oprah Winfrey to appear on her talk show to promote her upcoming memoir, Celebrity Detox.
At the time, O'Donnell's publicist said, "Rosie has always been booked with Diane [Sawyer]. We gracefully declined Oprah’s offer. I’m sure Rosie will do Oprah’s show another time.”
Rosie herself wrote this blog post recently about the Oprah incident.
Well, now O'Donnell has cancelled on Diane Sawyer!
Why?
Her publicist is now saying, "The book is a very personal snapshot of a certain time in Rosie's life, and she felt she bared her soul on those pages. She feels people should read the book and take away from it what they will. She does not want to do any interviews."
And there you have it.
We're sure Rosie will talk about it (at least a bit) on her blog, though.

I hope Rosie sues the media outlets that got quotes from her book BEFORE it came out on the market. They have broken copyright laws. Most them have discussed on TV, OJ Hammer is one, the fact she broke her bones herself for attention but do not mention the TRUTH!!! The bone breaking incidents were from her PAST when she was a child and they fail to mention that it was from her PAST. She is sharing this to help people who are hurting themselves now. If this happened to Oprah, Diane Sawyer, or Barbara Walters and many others as a child and they shared it in a book, the news media would praise them. Rosie shares it and the news media mocks Rosie and criticizes her. If you were Rosie, would you go the the news media's outlets knowing they are going to attack you face to face??? O'Donnell is a rapid mental processor, she sometimes acts so fast, folks with normal processing speed cannot understand her actions for days. She is
a bit "out there" to "normal" folk. This woman is a celebrity that is accessible to many of her fans via her blog, openly and honestly answers their questions, and shares glimpses into motherhood, celebrity, marriage, etc.
She probably helps many more folks than the NARCISSISTIC LAURA SCHLESSINGER…SO just let her go and do her thing. What is this need to make fun of somebody that gives millions to charity and lives as she likes.

Rosie has shown time and again that she can dish it out, but she can't take it. If she is going to trash people in her book, then she should have the guts to take the heat when she is questioned about her views. If she can't do that, then she shouldn't have written the book. Throwing this book out there without defending it is not one of Rosie's best moments in her life.
