Entertainment author and television host Robin Leach has posted a sad/disturbing blog entry about Michael Jackson‘s final days on his “Luxe Life” blog.

According to Leach’s source (who he has been “sworn” to never name), two nights before Michael died, he was “in a high state of stress and emotional drama, fearing that he would never be able to complete the 50-concert run in London, and it would kill him.”

Wow.

Jackson was hoping AEG would let him perform This Is It as a “one-night world spectacular,” with simulcats of the footage in theaters and arenas around the world as well as a subsequent DVD and CD release, hoping AEG would earn the same amount of cash from his proposed idea as he would have earned performing for 50 dates.

AEG told Jackson the show must go on, even though Jackson reportedly said at his last rehearsal, “…We can’t go on. I’ll never make all 50. It will kill me.” The late King of Pop returned from the rehearsal “exhausted, highly strung, stressed and sweating profusely,” according to the source.

With AEG’s rejection of Jackson’s plan, he became “more stressed than he’d ever been in his life” and wrestled with severe bouts of insomnia; the source believes this is what drove Michael to seek out Diprivan, the sedative primarily used for anesthesia.

So, so sad.

Leach also reveals in his post that a Michael Jackson tribute show may be hitting the Vegas Strip quite soon! Joe Jackson and Janet, among other family members, have had offers made to them regarding the tribute, and “the negotiations will intensify this week after [Tuesday’s] memorial service and burial.”

The former Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous host also has learned from insiders that AEG has “more than enough” footage of the This Is It rehearsals to make a “making-of” documentary.

Only time will tell.
