Kal Penn Finally Begins New White House Job!!!

No more White Castles for him!
Former House actor Kal Penn started his new job on Monday as an associate director in the Office of Public Liaison, which will connect President Obama with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as arts groups.
The position, which he describes as the "front door to the White House," would include engaging with constituent communities and making sure they feel that they have a seat at the table.
"I expect to be treated just like any other staff member," says Kal, who will now use his given name, Kalpen Modi.
When asked how he prepared for his fresh start, Penn stated, "I brushed my teeth; I did floss, used mouthwash … took the bus to work, same thing that everybody does."
No special treatment and trying to blend in for the greater good?!

okay really… they can have someone come into the white house to try and make sure all of these communities and groups have a seat at the table, YET we still haven't even made our lgbt community an equal part of this country? doesn't see quite right to me even though I do understand they deserve their chances as well.

Why don't you do something like that? He is giving up on MILLIONS of dollars as an actor for something that probably won't pay as much as $200,000 if that. I respect his decision and if it does last a year, that is a year more than you.

I don't understand how you can go from being in highly crude and rude movies like Harold and Kumar, where you are seen masturbating, doing drugs and groping breasts to working for the President. Sure, maybe he is a smart guy and wants to make a difference, but those movies were pretty politically incorrect, you'd think he'd be frowned upon. Well, whatever. Doesn't affect the country I live in.

I'm gonna be mad at Barack for taking Kal Penn off of House for a looong time. That's what I know him from, not the raunchy stuff. But yeah. I bet the POTUS is a fan, haha.
