Ratings for The View this season are better than ever!
Based on ratings for the week of September 10th, the debut of Sherri Shepherd as the fifth co-host on ABC's The View led the daytime talker to 972,000 women 18-49. Comparably, that was The View's best delivery in the demo since last May. The View tied for fifth overall for the week in households, with a 1.2 rating/10 share, and 3.6 million total viewers.
The View did so well last week that they had an increase of 16% from one year earlier, when Rosie O'Donnell made her debut on the show.

I think Sherri will be controversial too and that's why people are tuning in. Whoopi is boring me already. I watched a show where Sherri said that barbara Walters kept kicking her under the table, lol. Nobody else has said that except Rosie - and not on tv either.
It's because of Rosie THE VIEWS ratings are where they are. They will dwindle. Trust me, I've watched the show and it's boring as hell. And remember, the world is flat.

I tried to watch this show once…I couldn't really get into it.

i liked rosie but i can see why people wouldn't…i really like whoopi & sherri on there…especially when sherri gets all crazy. i'm still waiting on whoopi to be a little more direct and controversial. elizabeth really makes me want to not watch…not because i disagree with her, but because i think she is ignorant and is only open to people that think like her. she also doesn't have a lot of information to support her views, because she obviously does just pay attention to the headlines on FOX News…she never really has anything to back her allegations against the left. She just repeats herself over and over. Anyway, I'll be glad when she has her baby so she can take leave and I can actually enjoy the show fully.

Well they lost me today. Sherri and Elizabeth were so rude to Senator Biden. Elizabeth as usual kept interupting the Senator and Sherri's final question asking how Biden "was going to guarantee that we wouldn't find him in the White House with his pants around his ankles?" I liked Sherri before but she is so f-ing stupid that it amazes me? Would she have said that to Obama? Senator Biden is a remarried widow. Has been remarried for many years! Sherri is joke!
The View has posted their best rating performance since last May. Therefore, shouldn't your post be about how the show's ratings have sucked since Rosie left the show late last May and MIGHT be starting to recover?

I've tuned in to see Whoopi and Sherri and the show is a complete bore. I really don't care about their boobies. Whoopi tries but look what she has to deal with. Sherri is just making a fool of herself. Elisabeth sucks and needs to cut down on the botox. BW needs to just fade away and I'm disappointed in Joy because she's so catty.
I'm happy that she left the show. Rosie's too toxic. She'll do whatever it takes to get her comments out there…she's just too much. Now the view has a team of people that seem supportive of one another with a common goal in mind. I'm glad she's gone.
Whoopie has been AWFUL so far, and Sherri is meh/so-so, yet better than Whoopie! All the hype for nothing. Whoopie was much funnier and better as a center square on Hollywood Squares.

I love the view now I quit watching when Rosie went on. Barb rules this show and rightly so. She has class, and credibility. Rosie is a disturbed human being and I never cared to hear what she had to say. Watching her on the show was like a trip to crazy town. The show seems balanced now. I didnt like it when Meredith Viera left, and I wish she would come back. BUT we now have what we have. I thought that the original idea for the show was to create a format based on the views of women ALL women young,older, black, white, asian, funny, serious. They got away from that for awhile I think they are on thier wat back.
