Harry Potter One-Ups Edward Cullen

It's going to be an epic battle between wizard and vampire until all the movies are complete. Then, all the nerds can return to their corners with their books and sulk. Until then, the race to see whose movie will do better is still on.
Right now, Potter is in the lead as the newest film installment, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is on track to replace Twilight as the third top-selling advance ticketer in Fandango history. The flick has already surpassed Sex and the City, Iron Man, and the latest box office smash, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
We know that this one is going to be epic, but we also have a feeling that after this Potter film surpasses Twilight, New Moon will come out and kick the crap out of Potter. According to a Fandango survey of more than 3,000 moviegoers planning to see Harry Potter, 45% claim they're also fans of the Twilight saga!
Ah, so the vampires will be stealing some fandom from the wizard team. We think they'll have no problem regaining their title come November.
But in the meantime, enjoy it Potter-heads, we hear it's going to be one hell of a movie. Be sure to take nap before heading to your midnight showings.

the twilight movie sucked, i know perez has the little WIERD infatuation with robeert but STILL no reason to be saying these things. have you guys even SEEN the movie twilight first of all can you say akward? acting sucked a lot! like i loved the books and all but honestly the movie was horrible. BUT alas i must say if you want to keep saying that twilight and harry potter are at a competing level i rekon you'll have someone after your ass. ALAS i must say HAARRY POTTER KICKS ASS.
Re: chloecullenswan – ummmm actually NO. harry potter is still the best selling book out there go read up reliable info AND actually they moved the date because they get a heck of a lot more money if they release it in the summer they have no need to move their date because harry potter is still number one teen fantasy book.

I read all the Twilights and thought they were ok, the movie was only ok.
In my opinion, Twilight will never compare to the greatness of Harry Potter. Twilight is aimed at teenage girls who have no grasp of reality whereas HP is aimed for all ages. And all ages love Harry Potter.
Stephanie Myers writing in comparison to J.K.Rowlings is shit! JK is one of the greatest writers in the world and she has created a world that I will always love and be a part of. All Stephanie created was an unrealistic dude for teenage girls to fall in love with and a series of books that lack in a good plot, good writing skills and predictable endings.

You can't really compare the two but…
Twilight is geared towards teenage girls, so it's mostly fluff. At the core, it's a romance film, whereas Harry Potter kind of has it all. Harry Potter has a wider range of audience, so it appeals to more people, and it has a much more developed and more creative than the Twilight series. I wouldn't be surprised if New Moon did extremely well (just because those teenybopper girls will see the movie ten times in the theater). BUT, Harry Potter, hands down, beats Twilight, even though I've read the Twilight books and enjoyed them >

wow. the Twilight movie was so monotoned that when Edward said that he never wanted blood like hers, i was like "Just do it so i don't have to take anymore." and the acting SUCKED. Kristen Stewart sucks. i saw the trailer for New Moon and i can tell that it didn't get any better. she takes gasps between every sentence. just breathe!
Twilights just a fad like the Jonas Brothers. it will be gone soon enough. they have the same sort of fans that will get interested in something else and move on.
Harry Potter is amazing. even though the movies do go of course, they're still really good if you don't compare it to the book.
i read the Twilight Saga, too. all 7 Harry Potter books are so good, but Breaking Dawn has disappointed many people. and SMeyer used the word "grimaced" a million times. count it people!
and Twilight it just about a girl who can't live without some guy. and the one she found is so controlling and a creeper who is 100 years old. no matter how young he looks, he's still old. and he watches her when she sleeps, creepy.

New Moon will be better than twilight, twilight didnt have a very good director and the graphics werent good plus they changed the story too much,
