HBO can breathe a sigh of relief, as it appears its flagging viewership has experienced a resurgence!
HBO’s Entourage returned Sunday night and earned its largest audience in more than a couple years. The sixth season opener pulled 3.4 million viewers.
Moreover, the debut managed to more than double last season’s premiere (that’s double).
The second episode of Hung grew 29% from its season premiere, to earn 3.6 million viewers.
And True Blood posted its umpteenth series high – 3.9 million viewers – continuing its string of record-setting growth.
Whew!
P.S. How sad for Entourage that they were beat in the ratings by new show Hung!!! This might be the Pivert and company’s last season!
