Son of Run-DMC's Rev Run received an extremely light sentence for marijuana and resisting arrest charges on Thursday.
JoJo Simmons was ordered to perform one day of community service and given one year probation after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.
That's nothing!
The aspiring rap star was arrested in May after authorities allegedly caught him rolling a joint behind the wheel of his BMW.

this happened in ny where i live and the same thing happened to me. i was only given a summons and the case was dimissed before i even went to court.

How old is he? and is it a first offense? If he's a minor and it's his first offense, and he didn't have an amount that would indicate an intent to sell, then the sentence is not out of the ordinary.
The resisting arrest part isn't good though . . . he probably had a good lawyer who in turn had good relationships with the clerk and judge.

If this was his first offense I don't see the problem. In a lot of places you only get a citation for marijuana, depending on the amount. If they allowed him to plead down to disorderly conduct the sentence was correct. You're just not happy unless you're bitchin' about something.
