A Final Goodbye To Our White Ball Of Love

Our family dog, Coquito, had been really really sick lately and we had to take him to the animal hospital again on Sunday night and finally put him to sleep.
Losing a pet that has been a part of your heart for 13 years really is like a relative dying.
Our heart aches.
We are thankful for the time we had with our little coconut.
We are thankful that Teddy, mom and sis are all still with us and in good health.
So sad.

Perez, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it is extremely rough loosing a pet. They become part of your family. He Coquito was such a cutie pie! ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN!

So sorry about Coquito. I know how it feels to lose a pet and especially one that has been with you for quite some time. I had to put down two of my dogs, whom were both 15 years old. It really is like losing a family member.
i just had to put my dog to sleep recently also.. i'm still having a really hard time, so i know how you feel. she was my best friend & i am so sorry for your loss.. i just wanted to let you & your family know you're not alone… maybe they'll meet in dog heaven & play together, because i know i'd hate it if she was lonely. i miss her so much, & i know you miss your dog also.

I'm sorry for the loss of your furry friend. I lost my puppy today.. wasn't older then a couple months, but he had already grabbed a hold of a piece of my heart. I will miss him dearly and he will live on via memories and thoughts of how things would be. I send you my best wishes and hopes that Coquito is enjoying his life wherever that may take him now or whatever form it may be in.
I completely sympathise with you, my Nan had my family dog put down (who I got when I was two) last month. Absolutely gutting. Love to you P

I am sorry for your loss Perez. Our furry babies are no different than family. We lost our 17 year old Schnauzer Chester (Froggie Doggie) before Christmas and He will never be replaced in my heart….. Hug your Teddy .

So sorry to read you lost your pet, it's like losing a member of your family I know. We lost our 16 year old cat, yes I know she was old & we gave her a good life but still we were heartbroken.
We rescued her off the streets of Saudi Arabia in 1991 when we lived there. We brought her back to Texas with us in 1995 cost us a fortune, but she was part of our family we couldn't leave her behind in Saudi to fend for herself.
Since she died we have gone on to adopt two cats from the Humane Society & a puppy who was sealed in a box with no food or water & left to die in the Texas heat. So you will in time be able to move on & hopefully adopt a rescue dog from a shelter, they always need loving homes & there are so many of them out there. You will always have your memories nothing can take those away from you.

I recently went through the same thing. I had a beautiful siamese cat who I had since I was 11 years old. About a month ago I noticed he was in really bad shape and had to put him to sleep, he was 19 years old. It is so sad and I am still trying to get use to the fact he's no longer around.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had to put to sleep my 14 year old Yorkie last Tuesday. The pain is overwhelming. Find comfort that he was given the best life ever and was so loved.

You neither "lost" your dog nor put him "put him to sleep". His was killed because someone other then him decided he was to sick to care for. I'm glad you won't be responsible for me when I'm old. So sad:(

One of the worst days of my life is when we had to put our 13 year old Golden down. All I could think was "I've murdered my dog" She was in pain and we couldn't help her anymore but it was still really really hard. Condolences Mario

I am so sorry to hear about your ittle one passing on. The one and only time I ever saw my father sob was when we had to put our dog down many years ago. It is the MOST dreadful experience.

We had to put our family dog to sleep almost 2.5 years ago. He was like my "little brother with fur" haha… Thinking/Writing about it right now is bringing tears to my eyes
I'm so sorry that you and your family are going through this right now… I remember when we had a different family dog pass away when I was a little kid being positively destroyed by it. A few days later a massive rain storm came through and my grandma told me that the thunder was our dog running around in heaven playing with his family and new friends. Weird, I know. Yet, oddly comforting when you think about it and hear that first rip of thunder… Try to comfort each other with memories and know that where is he is now he doesn't hurt and he's waiting on you all to join him someday (I know there are plenty of people that think you'll end up in hell for what you do/write- but fuck them you're only telling the truth and saying what everyone else is thinking)
OHHHH. I know it hurts. I just recently lost my Ten-year-old dog, but I WASN'T there. That will forever haunt & hurt me & I'm having trouble focusing on the good times & that he had a good, long life… instead of that I wasn't there in his final moments.
Just try to be grateful for that fact. They deserve to have their people around at the end, no doubt.
