Katona's Miraculously Pregnant Again!

UK trainwreck Kerry Katona announced earlier this week that she was pregnant. Even though she's only four to five weeks along, she decided to send out a press release confirming her baby news.
Then, on Tuesday, she reportedly suffered a miscarriage, which her publicist confirmed.
Now, on Wednesday, her publicist is saying that Kerry's somehow still pregnant after all.
Katona's publicist, Max Clifford, just released the following statement:
"After further examination it has been revealed that Kerry Katona is still pregnant. Kerry went back into hospital for a medical procedure last night (Tuesday). However, a blood test revealed surprising results – her pregnancy hormones had gone up, not down. Kerry was taken for a second scan and was shown her baby’s 3mm heart beat. It has transpired that Kerry is only five weeks pregnant, not seven-eight weeks, which is why the scan was not clear and coupled with bleeding led to her being diagnosed with having had a miscarriage. She is still at risk of complications – however she and Mark are ecstatic that she is still pregnant with their baby."

It's possible. If she wasn't far enough along, nothing would be seen, but not that she's further along things can be seen.
As other commenters have said - at 4-5 weeks your can't see a bloody heartbeat - 7 weeks is the minimum. She is an attention seeking media hag who's got a large bill from the taxman to deal with and is using every oppourtunity to deal with it! ARGH!

Second, my sister saw her baby's hearbeat at 5wks and it was 120bpm.
Every pregnancy is different and if you been pregnant and had the gaull to say this your clearly retarded.
Wouldn't it be "still" pregnant…. she didn't get pregnant again in the last 36 hrs. Jees, doesn't anyone know how to right a sentence that is acurate any more? She was doing magazine spreads within days of her recent burglar ordeal that supposedly left her traumatised! Max Clifford is a revolting media pimp who always has the sleaziest clients. I've gone through 4 m/c and am now pregnant. I've seen a reproductive endocrinologist and had surgery for a problem with my uterus. And, through all of it, I've figured out that the hcg quantitative blood tests that they put you through every 48 hours in early pregnancy and the skill level of the ultrasound technician varies greatly. So, it's absolutely possible that she was told she had a m/c, then found out baby was still there.

Re: debbie – They do not always get a D&C - that is just not true. And people do not always know when they've miscarried - it can be weeks after the baby's died before a person may realise. However, I do think she's lying for publicity anyway so it's irrelvant as I'm agreeing with you!!
