Roseanne Barr might get herself thrown in an oven for this stunt, but we have a good feeling that she really could give a shit less.
These are some shots from a recent photo-shoot Roseanne did for HEEB magazine. As one can plainly see, the comedienne is channeling her inner Hitler while baking up some cookies - some "Jew cookies."

This Hitler Homemaker look will surely garner her a lot of heated attention. Perhaps that's what she was going for?
What do U think of the photos? Insensitive or Ingenious?
PS: We hear Mel Gibson would like a dozen cookies for himself, if she can spare them.

Is she going to do another photo shoot where she is a slave-mistress? How about one where she is a dying victim of 9/11? I mean, since tragedy is so funny and everything. Why not? How about some photos of abusing animals too? She should apologize and use her talents for greater purposes. This is just a bad move, but it got her name in the press, which may have been the original aim. I don't think the average reader is going to get the fact that she's playing with the semiotics of Hitler's gender. Seriously.

As a European of Jewish descent I find these pictures very offensive, and I would hope anyone of any kind of descent would too. The fact that shes jewish doesn't make it ok. She needs to actually think about the reaction that kind of imagery is going to make in people who were personally affected by the halucaust. Its just not ok.

I'm Jewish and 20-something, so I'm supposed to be their target audience. I hate that magazine. And there is nothing funny or acceptable about those pictures. If she was trying to make a provocative, humorous or "deep" statement of some sort she completely missed the mark.
As a Jew, I am not going to allow myself to be offended by negative comments, or opposing ideology. It is no surprise that anti-semetism, and holocaust deniers exist, and that people refuse to acknowledge that 12 million people died in the holocaust, 6 million of them Jews. Genocide has been going on long before the term was coined by Raphael Lemkin in 1943, and unfortunately they continue to exist in large part because of those who fail to acknowledge they happen. The fact is most victims are not jews. I appreciate the comraderie and support many people have posted in response to both these picture and those who support them. The greater issue at hand really is that if we fail to recognize the magnitude of what happened, and the implications for what we say and how we act towards those of our own heritage and religion as well as those of other backrounds, then we are no better than those who commit these heinous and disgusting acts throughout history and around the world. Complicity, is ultimately what allows these acts of hate to continue. Take a stand, and stand up for those oppressed…as we are all citizens of the world, and we are ultimately in this together…
