The tempestuous twosome kicked off their Van Halen reunion tour Thursday night in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Our bet's on the band breaking up within a month and cancelling the rest of the tour!

Since he stopped doing the drugz, Eddie's been looking really hot - for a senior citizen!

#90 - I agree with the whiny, cry baby comment, but when it comes to Steven Tyler - he is *the rock god* and there is no comparisson. And while we're on the subject - excluding the couple of years Joe Perry went astray, there has been no change to Aerosmith's line up - you don't need a program to keep track of the players…and that's why they still sell out concerts - something Van Halen - Hagar -Cherone - Hagar - Halen can only dream of doing ever again.

I will have to agree with some of the previous comments on Eddie looking GREAT!… When he was all tanked up, he seemed really cocky and just plain old ugly… but now, wow he is looking cute after all!

I'm also glad that Dave only got some minor 'adjustments' to his hair. He didn't get the crazy whole head of hair weave like John Travolta. His hairline is still pretty much back where it belongs (receding), but he got the top filled in with whatver these guys have glued to or implanted in their heads nowadays. Dave didn't suddenly have a hairline three inches more forward than it has been in years. Good for you Dave, I'm sure it was tempting.
He also could have done the Bret Michaels 'oh, i'm not going bald, I just like to wear bandanas or cowboy hats 24 hours a day' thing. That's always funny.

Rock on VanHalen. Eddie is the best guitarist ever. He was an influence for guys like Slash. VanHalen is one of the best rock bands of all time and sales of their albums prove it. If you don't like VanHalen then you don't like heavy metal. Their concerts are selling out everywhere, my son loves VanHalen.

Appearances aside, I was a huge fan back in the day, but am not coughing up big money for these tickets.
Eddie is an asshole for kicking out his bass player, who basically just wanted to keep playing and played with Hagar since Van Halen was languishing.
It would have been far more interesting to see Wolfgang get in a band with KIDS his own age and not ride off of his dad's coatails. I am going to bet that Wolfie will follow in his father's footsteps in more ways than one.

Drove up from Jacksonville, FL to see the show in Charlotte. VAN HALEN ROCKS!!!!! DLR and EVH are incredible! They put on a great show. Wolfie did a great job–he's 16 yrs old. I hope they add some dates further south…I will def see them again.

I remember them from the late 70's ( 78 -79) & they were great. I used to ride around before school every morning & listen to their music. Songs like "Runnin' With The Devil" , "Jamie's Cryin'"& "You Really Got Me". The album titled Van Halen was by far the best album they ever recorded (in my opinion). Was that their first. I would love to go see them now and I am really excited that the "original" Van Halen is back together & that Wolfie is with his fathers band.

Saw them at their second tour stop (Greensboro) and they were unbelievable. While I would have preferred to see Michael Anthony, Wolfie is a nice replacement. Let's hope they are able to get along and stay together. The music/performance was better than the last tour with Anthony/Hagar. If you have a chance and are a fan, don't miss out on a chance to see this.

Eddie and Dave are not exactly senior citizens, because senior citizens are over fifty five, and Being a senior citizen at 56, I still think of myself as young. Rod Stewart did a song "Young at heart", and I believe in it. Eddie and Dave are seasoned to perfection, and have a certain quality about them that works well together for the audience and fans.
