We mentioned last month that former Disney star Hilary Duff had signed on to appear in several episodes of CW's Gossip Girl this coming season.
And just yesterday, the cutie was spotted filming on set near hottie Chace Crawford.
Lucky girl!
The Duffster is playing Olivia Burke, some movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience and ends up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).
Hilary will debut in this season's fourth episode airing this October.
Do U think she'll make a good addition to the cast?

i've never even watched one episode of this show, so i have no clue if she'll be good for the show or not.

i luvz hilary..and i would really like to see her get more into acting again…seems like she has been out of the lime light for a while…i guess she was just letting her cutesy disney appeal go away a lil so she can get into more serious roles….good luck doll!…oh, but as for GG…sooo not my cup of tea.

no way! part of gossip girls appeal was that it was mostly unknown actors that this show made their career! i can't imagine lizzie mcguires high voice and young look being a good addition.. no offense. leighton would eat her up!

umm… has anyone seen her terrible movies?…I liked that everyone on Gossip Girl was almost unknown… now bringing her on she's already had her own show, and I'm not excited at all to see her on GG. I hope she's only on for a few episodes or I might stop watching… unless she somehow turns out to be able to act, but at least it's not Miley Cyrus

****and to everyone saying the cast was unknown…no they werent! serena/blake lively was very known for the sisterhood of the travelling pants movies, chuck/ed westwick has his own band, and georgina/michelle trachtenberg was very well known for movies like eurotrip etc.
she's not a good actress but for CG she'll do just fine, she's just too shy to act i think

I'm glad Hilary Duff is back to working. One of the most nice & down to earth people & a wonderful actress. I think her & Chace Crawford could possibly make a nice couple, don't you think?
