Paula Abdul Leaving American Idol!!!

They've been unable to work out a new deal, PerezHilton.com has learned!
This is definitely a surprising development!
While Kara DioGuardi will unfortunately be returning to American Idol this coming season, Paula Abdul, a judge who has been with the show since year one, will not be coming back.
Abdul and her manager were demanding more money, and Idol producers felt she was not worth what she was asking. The two were quite vocal about their frustrating negotiations with the big wigs.
Ryan Seacrest just signed a new three year deal with the show, which reportedly pays him $15 million per season. There's money to be thrown around at AI. Kara is a lot cheaper than Paula, though!

this is crap! I'm glad now that I didn't get through auditions this year…she was the only reason I wanted on the show.
I didn't like Kara and with Paula leaving, I'll have to seriously thnk about whether I want to watch next season. Paula and Simon had great chemistry. I wouldn't have been sad to see Randy go. This is not the way to go if they want to shore up their sagging ratings.

It was Kara that made the show run late every week last season. They didn't need the 4th judge to take up too much of the show's time with her idiotic ramblings.

I will not watch American Idol without paula. not only do i find their behavior inexcusable toward paula but i also believe that the show will never be the same - u can't replace the chemistry between the original 3 judges. kara ruins everything. the show is just gonna suck. i have a feeling simon will prob leave in the next couple years too and then the show really will go down hill. fox has made a huge mistake not giving paula what she wants because they are gonna lose a lot more money now due to declining ratings and views.
