No One Likes Katherine Heigl

ABC's entertainment head was none too pleased by Katherine Heigl's incessant whining on Late Night with David Letterman a few weeks ago.
In case this gem managed to fly under your radar, Heigl whined to Letterman about the long hours on the Grey's Anatomy set, among other things.
Said Katherine to Letterman: "Our first day back was Wednesday and it was — I’m going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them — a 17-hour day, which I think is cruel and mean."
Letterman responded, saying, "I’m guessing if you’re working 17 hours, that means you’re not dead."
And Heigl's reply?
"What if, however, Dave, I was in a bed in a coma for 17 hours. They could do that to me."
ABC's head of entertainment, Steve McPherson, was not amused. He even called Katherine's bitching "unfortunate"!
Ha!
Said McPherson:
"People are going to behave in the way they choose to behave. There are so many people who work so hard on 'Grey's,' and all of our shows, without any notoriety and those are the ones I'd be concerned about, people who feel like they're being criticized or looked down upon."

Being an actress myself, I know exactly what a 17 hour day is. You sit on your ass in your trailer for about 15 hours, and then film for about 2.

Most of that time is "down time", waiting around for sets to be put up and taken down etc. Most of this time is spent in her trailer, reading, watching TV etc. I don't know if this moron has ever worked a "real" job in her life, but working on a movie or working on a TV show where you are coddled and waited on hand and foot is hardly considered "working". I HAVE done hard crummy jobs, some for up to 12 a day. I have been on my feet all day, every day where my feet hurt so much it was hard to walk.

I remembered in an old post that PissantHilton posted earlier trying to make some sort of “Argument” and he failed miserably like the fat piece of crap he is. There’s things called REHEARSALS and BLOCKING your movements as well as script readings that take up a good FRACTION of time. When the grips are taking down the sets, they are preparing for the NEXT scene. For someone that is calling other people are moron, you truly are ignorant in terms of knowing WHAT goes on during the shoots and what not. You really are an idiot. Just like most of these haters here. That’s to be expected these days.

I'm surprised ABC is so concerned about a blurb on Letterman as to feel the need to address it, publicly. I'm guessing this means Heigl is telling the truth. Next time, learn to keep your mouth shut, ABC. It's really an old test of honesty. You failed. Also, what Heigl was referring to is a well-known practice. If you don't like an actor, or character, but they're under contract, or they "act up", you can put them in a coma, or some other predicament. They stay there, for 17 hours, or however long they need to. It's in the contract. I suspect that part is what got ABC pissed off and rushing to comment. They don't like ordinary people knowing about that.

It is one thing to have attitude and courage to speak up. Which she did when that one costar was being a homophobic dickhead. And I respected her for that. But this is different.
