Bryce Dallas Howard Was First Choice!

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke spilled the vampire dish while attending the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night!
The filmmaker revealed that actress Bryce Dallas Howard was the studio’s first pick for the role of Victoria in the first Twilight film, but the role was “too small” for Bryce at the time!
Rachelle Lefevre ended up landing the role in Twilight, but execs ditched Lefevre for Howard in the upcoming Eclipse!

Hardwicke also shared her sympathy for the media blitz R-Patz and K-Stew have found themselves caught up in since the release of Twilight!
Says Catherine: “I mean, part of me feels kind of guilty because they are both such indie spirits… They are really artists, they like making meaningful art, interesting art.”
There’s still time for those two to make their art house flicks!
