Guess heterosexual marriage ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, huh Doug Manchester?
Dougie is a hotelier & developer in San Diego and a major supporter of Prop 8, which outlawed same-sex marriage in California and stripped gays and lesbians of their rights to full equality under the law. His donation of $125,000 helped ensure that discrimination was written into our state’s constitution.
Now, we bet he wishes he saved that money for a decent divorce attorney!
His wife, Elizabeth Manchester, is passionately after his money, denying Doug’s request for a speedy divorce and seeing how much she can drain out of him! After 43 years, eight months and nine days of marriage, she’s most certainly due!
In what will be coming to close to a year-long divorce proceeding, Elizabeth has filed several complaints and bad dealings on Doug’s part, including withholding tax refunds made out to the both of them, disregarding bill payments to make her look bad, and pilfering money out of their joint accounts into individual ones she does not have access to.

Gee, for a guy who is so devoted to his Christian faith, he sure as no regard for those set of rules God told him to follow.
The couple are meant to reconvene in court to hash it out some more on Sept. 17, 2009. Part of us wants her to take him for all he’s got. The other part wants him to keep it, so the next time he throws money at Prop 8 and it gets repealed, the victory will taste that much sweeter.
