We gotta applaud Kelly Clarkson!
Despite the fact that her latest album, My December, has been a huge commercial disappointment, the singer is determined to go on tour and support the record.
Clarkson had to cancel her arena tour this past summer due to poor ticket sales. Shows were moved to much smaller venues.
Kelly's immediate plans are to tour and promote My December. She has no plans to record another (better) album any time soon, unfortunately.
She tells Australia's Courier-Mail, "I don't know Perez Hilton and he doesn't know my schedule. We're not in the studio. We're touring this album. We're working."
Bummer!
Hey, at least she's doing it her way.

shut ur mouth perez her new album i like and it is better than anything you could come up with!
I LOVE kelly for following through with the record and tour. She could be my role model. She's passionate about what she does, she's not a sissy, and she's real! I might go buy a copy of the album even if I never listen to it just to show my support.
Yeah..the album wasnt commercial. shows shes an artist. I love you Kelly.
And hurry up and make your tour bigger Kel, if your reading this. I went to get tickets yesterday and there arent' any left for Seattle.

why do you people care so much about her weight?! what, are you afraid to see people that actually have some meat on their bones? I'm sorry she's not a twig like the rest of the female celebrity world. Shes a normal healthy girl and I think everyone should back off about her weight. She looks amazing and I don't see what her weight is such a huge issues. She's healthy, and that's something rare to see nowadays. I don't see how some of you people call her obese. You obviously don't get out and see what obese people look like. Grow up. Just ebcause she's pretty and she looks good with some weight, doesn't mean she's fat, and it definitely doesnt mean she is obese.
And I love how she takes the blame for everything. She doesn't blame anyone else for anything that goes wrong. That takes a lot of balls, and I don't think any other singer out there would take responsibility for the mistakes and mishaps.

Who is Perez to decide who is a failure? At least Kelly is trying to bring some beauty into the world with her voice, which is more than Perez will ever contribute.
My December is really a great album. No its not what she has done in the past, but its still great. The lyrics are very touching. If all her real fans would stand beside her an go buy the album instead of downloading it, she might have looked a little better on paper (as far as her sales go). I can really relate to every song, and will be at her show when it comes to HOUSTON, TEXAS. Rock on Kelly Rock on!!!!

Perez striking at Kelly again. Just leave the girl alone … she is clean unlike the rest of the prissy celebrities out there. Yes this album is a public disappointment in not going platinum, but that doesn't make it a bad album. I like it a little better than Breakaway. Recording a song with Timberlake wouldn't be a bad idea as stated in the article you referenced. That would DEFINITELY give a boost in public recognition.
On a side note, Spears went from 60+ to 3 on the hot 100. What has the music world come to?

I think she is one of the most talented singers out there. The new album "My December" is one of the best CD's I've ever heard. Every song she puts out is amazing. She has an awesome voice and she is beautiful! Say what you want about her…I love her!
