People Still Go To The Opera?

That’s a big “yes”, as the the Metropolitan Opera is reporting record first-day sales for the upcoming 2009-10 season.
The box office took in $2.5 million, including sales from the internet and phone.
This season opens September 21, with a new production of Tosca.
