Leonardo DiCrapio's girlfriend, Bar Rafeli is not winning any friends in her home country.
The model said earlier this week that she would never take any famous friends to Israel after the paparazzi there hounded her and Leo during their recent visit.
Now, Rafaeli is thumbing her nose at all the Israelis - male and female - that have to be part of the country's mandatory military draft.
"I don't regret not having been drafted . . .because I made out big," she told an Israeli paper this week. "Why is it good to die for one's country? Isn't it better to live in New York?"
You may wanna stay in New York for a while. They don't want you to visit back home!

I agree with you, I am too sympathetic to the Palestinians b/c after hearing the Israeli voice for so long- and living in a place and world where Jewish people hold lots of power and are not "victims", I think it is the Palestinians that need my support more than the Israelis. But I cannot relate the rage that the Israelis themselves must feel when the innocent of them are being attacked and killed on a daily basis by the desperate Palestinians (who are also being killed). So, you're right, I should not forget that the Israelis are also in a difficult situation, and I don't have any great answers to how to resolve any of the mess. I don't advocate Israel giving up the land they were orginally given. In my heart, I just wish somehow people would support Palestine and bring commerce to that area so that they could be happy with what they have in their own borders and not have to rely on the Israelis. Will this ever happen? Will they ever give up their rage against "losing" Jerusalem? Probably not in my lifetime. Re: matt – PART TWO; but, someone pointed out to me that i shouldn't turn a blind eye to the israelis who are also in a tough position b/c of the terroristic attacks. my irritation is that the israeli authority is never questioned in this country, and we never hear anybody trying to help the palestinians get out of their rut. many people see this as anti-semitic, but i don't think that is fair- however, you're not the first to take that impression, so i'll take it under advisement and try to keep my mind open. i see though that it could sound like i'm saying i hate jews- b/c i have been less than sympathetic about the palestinian attacks in israel. i need to be more sensitive about this. but, the short answer is just that i think if the repression of palestinians stopped, maybe some of the violence would stop- but if my family were being killed by palestinians, i'm sure i'd have a different opinion. so, i don't hate jews- just feel frustrated that ISRAEL gets to do whatever it wants to the palestinians without anyone in this country speaking out in support of building up palestine or helping those people.

There are a lot of very immature and very ignorant people on this site- but I still think that if we can sneak some education in to them "when they're not looking," so to speak, it's worth the debate even if the hurtful comments are made. Being that I date a European, I am constantly aware of how uneducated I am in comparison- and the sad thing is, I'm brilliant compared to the average person on this site. So, just take the idiots (including me) with a grain of salt.

Some of our families oldest and dearest friends are Jewish and I have a great deal of respect for all of them…. they are very intelligent, successful business owners, attorney's, etc. and most of them are like family to us.
