Britney's Family: A Public Cry For Help!

Relatives of frequent and habitual drug user Britney Spears are worried sick about her and speaking out!
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Britney's aunt, Kentwood resident Chanda McGovern, says:
"We are very worried that things are going to spiral out of control.
“Instead of her turning to her family she is going to turn to the friends she has been hanging with — and the partying and drugs.
“And whether it be intentionally or accidental, there may be a drugs overdose.
“We are worried about suicidal tendencies in her.
“Everything is spiralling down and she has not got a backbone — a family member to help her.
“We fear that one day we may turn on the TV that she’s done something terrible to herself.”
“Every time you turn the TV on it’s something and every time it’s more negative than the last. It gets worse and worse. Not wearing panties is not something a true southern girl would do.
“Then, in front of the paparazzi when she crashed into the car and said, ‘Oops’ and took off, she knows better than that.”
“In some of the clips we’ve seen it looks like either she’s on something or so drunk she doesn’t know what world she’s in.
“It’s heartbreaking. Everybody is human, but she needs to come back down to earth. Her mother was always her backbone. Since they’ve fallen out everything has gone to hell.
“The kids came second and her party life came first so it really wasn’t a shock that the kids have been taken away from her. It was just very disappointing.
“You just want to reach out and grab her and hug her and tell her you love her. I want to knock some sense into her and say, ‘Britney — wake up!’
“It’s almost like it’s a nightmare and we want her to wake up from it.
“But she’s a grown woman. She knows how to make her mind up and she’s choosing the wrong path.”

I kind of doubt they really interviewed her. The Sun is a mass market London tabloid, so they don't really have a problem with making things up.
The telltale sign that the interview may be fake or, at the very least, inaccurate is the quote below. We don't say "drugs overdose" in America. We say "drug overdose", without the "s" on the end of "drug." In England, they do say "drugs overdose." That's an English turn of phrase. So, if this is a direct quote from the aunt, it's wrong. She wouldn't speak like that.

You know, none of us know what's transpired between Britney and her family - it's very possible her mom has done everything she could do, let's not forget Britney put out a restraining order on her mother's interaction with her sons, so who knows what she's threatened her mother with? Who cares if she is a grown woman or not. Every state has emergency laws that allow psyciatric hospitalization if the person is a danger to themselves or others… and it would sure be easy to make the case in Britney's situation. Each state has designated people who can do these exams and hospitalize someone for 72 hours, at which point the judge hears the facts and decides to continue hospitalization, or discharge.(Based on a treatment teams recommendations) In most of the cases I have worked after you get them all tucked in and medicated they are easier to reason with the next day, and they sign the papers voluntarily to stay and get help. Familes do have some leverage if they give a damn, and find out how to work the system. Britney needs psychiatric and addictions help, and her family cant sit back and whine that she doesn't want it… she's not in any shape mentally to make that decision, and someone needs to make it for her.

As for Britney's little dog, I heard it was adopted by Karma. And then the poor pooch died of acute alcohol poisoning after it got into Karma's liquor cabinet!
