Britain's Ugliest Dog Attacked!

Poor little doggie!
Mugly, winner of the 2005 title for Britain's Ugliest Dog, was victim of an attack by a group of thugs in Cambridgeshire this past week.
The practically hairless dog was rescued by a good samaritan who witnessed the animal being kicked, punched and hit with a stick!
Terrible!!!
"They had pulled out a little tuft of hair he had on his neck," said owner Bev Nicholson. "It was the only hair he had and they even managed to take off one of his eyebrows. I can't even work out how they would have done that."
Mugly was returned home with a few cuts and bruises, yet he was extremely shaken.
"You just can't think why these people would do such a horrible thing," continued the owner. "It's horrible because he loves people so much he probably thought it was just a game and all they were interested in was hurting him."
It breaks our hearts!

And who's to say that little sweetheart is ugly??? I think he's adorable and should be protected by this family better. I'd like to see anyone try to hurt my dog…. they'd lose more than an eyebrow!
This is a horrible story but it makes me feel a little bit better to see all the comments on this blog protecting the little guy….it's easy to forget sometimes, but not all people are like these monsters.

Motherfuckers!!! There really needs to be harsher penalties for animal abuse. Beating a dog like that is like beating a child. It's usually a smaller dog too, not a strong dog like a pit bull that can fight back.
Those people need to be arrested and hopefully beaten severely.

That's awful! The poor little thing! I don't know how anybody could be so cruel to such a helpless animal. Sue it may not have hair and that might not be desirable to some people but its a living breathing animal and I think its spots and whiskers are adorable. More serious action needs to be taken against people who do things like this to animals, its sadistic and sick!!!

It makes me so mad and upset that people can create such pain to those that are innocent and helpless. Animals don't do anything to us, it's people that are the problem.

Re: pusspuss – I wondered that myself. I clicked on the article because Perez tends to leave out important parts of stories. The dog had escaped from a window in the owner's ground floor apartment. A local lady recognized the dog from the missing flyers the owner put up.
Now, I don't want to start anything, but I'm pretty sure that not everyone on here is a vegetarian/vegan…and most of you are writing comments like, "How can someone do that to a poor defensless animal??" I agree…but did you know that's how your meat is killed? Just asking.

Re: CittyKat – I don't know. When I was growing up I lived in a neighborhood of mostly boys, and EVERYONE'S dog was aloud to run free with the kids. They were all nice dogs & it was great fun, bur the boys in my neighborhood weren't assholes, so, who knows?

My heart breaks and tears fall as I write this… That poor, adorable, dear dog…. It is incomprehensible how such a beautiful living creature can be so viciously attacked for no reason. Unfortunately, this happens all too often… a sad commentary of the evil that lurks in the hearts of certain individuals.
As far as I'm concerned, no penalty in the world is stiff or harsh enough for these sadistic, barbaric "pseudo humans". At the very least they should be locked up and left to their own devices. Maybe some free time would encourage some reflection and remorse. However, I highly doubt that anyone who is callous enough to assault and injure an innocent, defenseless creature would harbor any kind of empathy, compassion or self-reproach.
