Former Israeli television entertainer Dudu Topaz, 62, has committed suicide.

This was his second attempt to take his life.

Topaz was found dead in the shower of his cell at the Nitzan prison and paramedics were unable to revive him.

He was known as a TV personality and always brought in the high ratings, but he was also known as a controversial figure.

Dudu was arrested earlier this year after being suspected of trying to arrange attacks on media execs after they canceled his show. Topaz later admitted to the charges and blamed the three TV execs for getting him off the air.

In fact, one of them, a television producer, was found beaten badly outside her home and had to be rushed to the hospital with broken bones in her face earlier this year.

Ouch!

Apparently, it all started about five years ago when he was dropped from his primetime slot. Then he pitched a new comeback show to the three execs last year and they turned him down. That’s when he arranged to have them beaten up.

But this past May he was finally arrested and charged with conspiracy, assault and extortion. And after so much time of stress and in jail, he finally took his own life.

Sad. And twisted.
