The Hills star Heidi Montag lipsynched her way through a performance of her rather good song Body Language at the Miss Universe competition on Sunday.
And she was TOTALLY trying to give us Britney Spears circa MTV VMAs in 2000.
Heidi Montag is no Britney Spears, though.
But, hey, she tried! And while it was most definitely bad - it wasn't EMBARRASSINGLY bad!

This is what you get out of practicing 3 hours a day? Heidi was awful, was she dancing or convulsing? Who designed her outfit….Danskins from walmart?

I am definitely not a fan of Heidi but I don't think it was that bad. I think her public image is just so bad and tarnished that anyone refuses to express anything positive about her. I just watched miss universe for this performance and i got a good laugh. She not only lip synced she also can't dance at all. just plain awful !

Look, of COURSE the song sounded reasonably ok, all it is, is the looped background of "Don't Go" by Yaz. It's a great beat, so you can pretty much put any vocals in there and it's still going to sound good.
Is it a bad sign when you are watching a performance and laughing so hard you are crying? And forget singing, she should never dance again. She has the rhythm of a limp noodle. No scratch that. Even a limp noodle can keep on beat.
She actually made Britney's 2007 VMA's performance seem not so bad and we all know how that went down!!! I think she might have just found a way to axe her 15 minutes of fame… thank god!!! She was horrendous!!! She is not a dancer, the girl doesn't even have any rhythm, what a joke!!! She gets a F- in my book! LOL

Heidi, if you're reading this, listen up…nobody takes you serious as an "artist". If you want even a centimeter of credability, you need to do the following:
-Dump that loser of a husband
-Stop whoring yourself in public (especially with those lame "surprise" photo shoots…it's pretty embarassing)
-Try to make yourself more a gay icon (because let's face it, they're going to be the ones supporting you when you start doing cruise ships in a few years)

Oh my God, will you all shut up and give her a break. It's a great song and I loved it from the 1st time I heard it a year ago, very catchy so the "formula" works. She can move, she just lacks experience and true confidence. This was a make or break performance for her and she must have been so nevous. SO she lipsynced…big deal, Britney does it, Janet does it. You dont need to be a great singer to be entertaining and a good "recording" artist. Britney has trained from the age of 6 years old and I would hope that she would be better than Heidi who started this 2 years ago! Why don't some of you get out there in from of the whole world and prove better. Her sound works for me and as obnoxious as Spencer and her can be, when they left the Island on "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" the show got really boring. Obnoxious people are entertaining.. it's the nice sweet ones that sicken me.
