The Black Eyed Peas performed in El Salvador this weekend.
Noticeably absent from the Friday night concert, though, was Fergie.
The group's singer did come out briefly in sweats, a cap and dark sunglasses (above) and told the crowd that she ate some bad seafood and was not well.
"I'm not one of those singers that cancels a show due to exhaustion," she told the crowd.
She then proceeded to butcher her way through Big Girls Don't Cry.
However, we have some newfound respect for Fergie Ferg.
The band's already said they will make it up to the Salvadorian people with another concert real soon.

No person in their right mind comes on stage and slurs their words and says the same thing over and over again and says the simple phrase "i'm sick" or "i have food poisoning" in a baby voice.

Hi! well I'm just a very desapointed fan from El Salvador. The show was a fiasco in here. Fergie din't sing and tried to fool us by saying she got "food poisoning" wich was obviously NOT true.
I saw the guys efforts to make a good show and make it worth it, but the truth is that many people felt let down.
The "show" didn't lasted even an hour for God sakes! and then she came out just to make herself look like a clown. She said "I'll go take some water and maybe I'll come back" wich never happened because not even the guys came back to at least say the show its over, so WE the fans like fools stayed there waiting and they didn't came back!!
This is just disrespectful!! They should have better rescheduled it instead of doing that to us!! It was a waste of money and time… And they just came there to let us down and disapoint us.
Think better next time!!

If you came around here, you wouldn't say these countries are shitty. In fact, you would realize we have nothing to envy to other countries.

The main thing is that people aren't much interested in developing countries, and it's good that you claim that you wouldn't prefer to live in another country, maybe you would, but I still wouldn't want to live there compared to most places in the world.
Not many people would choose to go and live in someplace like that, even if it does have good things and nice people to offer too.
The point I was trying to make is just what Esto said about China and Japan not being the same. Well yes they are actually. In the sense that they are both looped together as Asia (or at least East Asia, seperate from South Asia- India etc) or even "oriental" even though that's not a country but a term.
Also China and Japan are a LOT bigger (population wise) and a lot more well known. They have a well defined culture and their cultures are similar.
The same as countries in latin america. Thats why they are grouped together.
Just like America, Canada and Britain can be grouped together because they aren't THAT much different.

You can't compare 2 singers because they are not countries.. but singers can still be in the same category so you know what I mean? You can see there is a big difference between Celine Dion and Snoop Dogg, yes? Whereas others are quite similar.

But you didn't even answer my question. You have to realise that even though you might be fiercely proud of your country, the majority of the world don't care, and probably haven't ever heard of it. Honduras is not a significant country.
PS- and don't fool yourself. You know fine that there is far more crime in your country and it's neighbouring ones than others we have been talking about.
I'm sorry but it's just a fact of life. When I need to be warned that I could be randomly kidnapped whilst on a visit somewhere and the criminals have more power than the police, I tend to think that country has major problems, sorry. My country is unbelievably safe in comparison. There is virtually zero risk of being kidnapped here.

well i had some things to do so i didn't go to the concert but some of my friends did, they said that will.i.am, apl and taboo did their best whitout fergie, they sang only five and a half (big girls dont cry) songs the guys were good but fergie…. my friends were really upset, especially because the bep guys just "disappeared from the stage" without saying anything

First of all, I am going to educate you about kidnapping in my country. In here, they don't kidnap Americans or tourists.. they kidnap people who were born and raised in my country. IT TAKES YEARS before a person gets kidnapped. Kidnappers STUDY METICULOUSLY the person before they get kidnapped (every day they are watching you)…they study EVERY MOVEMENT before they do that. It is not like they wake up and say I am going to kidnap that person… the chances that a tourist is going to get kidnap are slim to none.

I am not from the US and I tune in CNN and NBC every day…yes, there are more crimes in my country than yours, but there has been kidnappings in your country too…a lot of missing people. as a rule, it's a bad idea to eat, drink, or breathe in el salvador, but i'm really sad for fergie because i'm a huge fan of both her and the peas. whether she's actually ill or just wasted, that's really unprofessional to tease the audience by appearing, spouting some mushmouth, and taking off. they should've just postponed their show there until she had it together. i don't have any allergies, so i can't say if it's a legit thing. i do know that if i weren't a fan and someone said she'd been hitting the bottle, i'd totally believe that. so sad. come on, fergie, get your shit together!

Sure, VERY nice of them to make people wait for two hours, then perform for 45 minutes, and a very hig/sick Fergie coming out for less than 5 minutes to sing a half assed song AND THEN promise a FREE concert… free concert my ass!!!! Artists should be more respectful to their fans, especially when they go to poor countries (minimum MONTHLY salaries of about $130-140) and people spend months saving to be able to go to one of their concerts. Funny, I lived in El Salvador for 10 years for a work assignment (and definetely heard about the warnings about crime out there but nothing happened). I came back home to St. Louis, MO and not even two weeks after being back my car had already been stolen from the zoo downtown.
I must be a rare case then…but I'll say that I felt safer there, not because it is per say; but you are more aware of your surroundings and they keep you alert with security tips or warnings of bad areas to stay away from. God forbid there was a warning at the entrance of St. Louis saying "Welcome to the most violent city in the U.S."
Re: Fergie BLOWS HARD – Actually, many Salvadorans understand English. The thing it that those who go to the US tend to be the lowest of the low. Practically everyone at the concert knew what she was saying (and if they didn't someone next to them translated). I'm Salvadoran, btw.
I am from there but have lived in the U.S. all my life. I can tell you from personal experience, everytime I go there I am sick for the first couple of days. First of all because it takes your body a little bit to adjust to the weather (heat, humidity are tropical unlike our summers so its weird). Then, I can imagine that their "people" who are coordinating these events bring out the country's cuisine for them (actually, even if they were eating cheeseburgers or whatever… it is prepared different and with their water). So even if you just have bottled juice you are bound to spend a day in the toilet, especially if its your first time there.
Its a beautiful country though, and I never learn my lesson and pig out as soon as I get there because their food and fresh seafood is fantastic!!!
