Blink 182 Canceling More Shows!

Still mourning the death of their friend, DJ AM, Blink 182 is rumored to be canceling two of their upcoming shows featuring Weezer and Taking Back Sunday.
A representative for Weezer revealed that the concert for tomorrow night in Cleveland has been canceled.
As for Thursday's St. Louis show, Taking Back Sunday guitarist Eddie Reyes Twittered that he was in his home state of Ohio and wouldn't be getting back to the tour until the Kansas City show on Friday, adding to the rumors of cancellation.
We know it's very important to take time to grieve, but be sure to take care of your fans too!
Refunds or rescheduled shows are a must!

True fans will surely understand….especially if they have ever had anyone they care about die. The show must go on but let's not forget that these guys lost someone they loved, regardless of the circumstances. I wouldn't want to see them if they were crying thru half the show and wanted to be anywhere besides on the stage anyway….they know they have to make it up to their fans…and they will when they are in the right frame of mind.

I was at the Saratoga show. Took my 14 yr old daughter to see her favorite band for her birthday. Imagine what it was like for these young kids when they cancelled about 20 mins. before the gate opens!
I think Travis Barker is a self indulgent, whiney douchebag. I thought this before the show and this confirms it for me.
Hate to sound mean but this DJ AM guy survives a plane crash and then takes his second chance at life and pisses it away with a crack pipe. Sorry but this is not tragic it is stupid.

If you do a 1 minute(yes, it doesn't take longer than that) research before writing your post Perez, you'd know that they've rescheduled 4 shows.
the shows have been rescheduled…not cancelled. St. Louis is Sept 29th and Ohio is the next day or the day after.
All of you people whining about show cancellations or postponements need a reality check. WELCOME TO LIFE. Furthermore, bands cancel shows due to illness (aka "exhaustion), at least this is valid. This news affects me, but you don't see me whining.
As far as rescheduling…St. Louis will now be on 9/29, and Cleveland on 9/30. Get over it.

Nobody really gives a crap if they cancel a show-in the grand scheme of things who cares. The point is you don't do it 20 mins before the show begins So tell the people who drove for hours from Canada and elswehere to get over it. They had no advance notice and no rescheduled show.

I went to the blink show that was a day after DJ AM's death and I could tell that the band was taking it pretty hard. Mark started crying when talking about how hard it was to play and held a moment of silence for Adam as well. When my grandfather passed away 2 weeks ago I took time off of work for the services, playing shows is work for blink, so aren't they then entitled to bereavement leave? And no, it's definitely not b/c of lack of ticket sales b/c most of the tour is sold out.

I took my 12 year old daughter to see L'il Wayne cause she begged me so hard, and he never showed–they were SOOOO upset…she'd vowed to never listen to him again and she's kept her word…she hates him now…I'm the winner here, tho….Aerosmith always showed up for me the 13 times I've gone…evn totally fucked up, they made it.
the cleveland show has been rescheduled to september 30th and will be honoring all previous ticket purchases.
i spontaneously bought two tickets to their atlanta show originally scheduled for sept. 29th.
but by the time i came home, the show was already rescheduled! ugh.
Actaully last night Blink came to Saratoga to perform with Weezer, Taking back Sunday, and Chester French [i believe thats their name] i was told by many of my friends that Travis left an hour before the show started and didnt tell anyone he was leaving, plus Mark and Tom were still at the show, and few of my friends had backstage passes and refused to see anyone, plus they couldnt see the other bands aswell its a tragedy that Dj am passed away, its a good thing Travis left the show for his good friend, but not telling anyone where youre going hour before a BIG show…its kinda dissapointing to the fans

next two shows in order for Travis Barker to mourn the loss of his dear
friend Adam Goldstein. blink-182 will now play St. Louis, MO on Sept 29
and Cleveland, OH on Sept 30. To accommodate the change, shows in
Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA have also moved to October 6th and 7th
respectively. All previously purchased tickets will be honored and the
band will resume their current tour on September 4th in Kansas City, MO.

All the people who say we are insensitive for being pissed off that they cancelled obviously didn't have tickets….how would you feel if you were in line waiting with your younger brother who has looked forward to this concert all summer to see blink, then 2 minutes before the gate opens they tell you the headliner has cancelled but the show will go on without them! So we didn't get a rescheduled show, we got a show without the headliner. Weezer was amazing but my brother was heartbroken. They played shows right after his death, why did they wait until monday to cancel without rescheduling…it's not right.

i dont normally post.. but the reason why they cancelled is teh mere fact that adams services are this week. so forgive them for wanting to mourn their friend in the right way by paying their respects to him and his family and friends.
adam was a great guy- not many people knew the state of mind he was in recently, even his closest friends didnt know that he was back on drugs.

exactly I've seen the dead perform after Jerry died, and go on to do a show after a handfull of shrooms and 4 hits of acid. Always showed up, always played, always in key and on time. Santana too for that matter!

i really have mixed feelings about it all, me and my friends drove from montreal to see blink in saratoga, and as we get out of the car we here on the intercom that there not there, do you know how hard it was to take that in, especially when it was me who decided to go see it here instead of montreal, ruined it for my friends. but the you have to think about there side and its so hard not to be mad, but im just so sad and i dont know if its for them or for me, ive been waiting to see them for 10 years now and its gone just like that. sucks big time.
