Melrose Place Is Safe…For Now.

Don't be fooled by the rocky start, Melrose Place will remain on the CW block.
The network announced that it will be ordering six new scripts for the series, hoping the combination of some warm-up time plus the much anticipated return of Heather Locklear to the Place will boost it's ratings.
Other shows got some happy news this morning, including The Vampire Diaries, which has garnered itself another order of nine scripts, and One Tree Hill was give the green light for an entire seventh season.
Seventh season? Geez, someone shoot down that sinking ship. What could they all possibly still be talking about?

You're the only one excited about this show Mario — noone else gives a shit….it's like how other people feel about the music you shove down our throats too.
On One Tree Hill, they dont have shit to talk about. it sucks and has gotten extremely cheesy. The sight of the character "Mouth's" ugly face makes me want to puke, along with his voice.

I'm a huge fan of this show and would watch if it went into a tenth season so shut up Perez. It probably has way more fans than your lame ass concert that you've been advertising like a little bitch.

Look, i get it..you dont like One Tree Hill..you say it, oh everyday..but guess what? Lots of people do, including me. It is one of the highest rated shows of the CW. If you never ever watch it and have no idea what's going on, then just shut up about it. I am so excited it's going to be around for a full season. It is a great show that has matured and blossomed and I think it's just hitting it's stride..yay for OTH. Oh and side note, I love living in the town it's filmed in. It's awesome to go to Clothes over Bros and the River Court!

perez..have you ever even watched one tree hill because i doubt you even know what it's about without having to look it up..in fact I bet you didn't even write this article..it was probably one of the people that you hired to work for you..at least it still gets viewers and has people interested in it unlike your stupid music tour and you shoving sliimy down everyones throats…his album hasn't even cracked the Top 100 on iTunes or the Top 200 on billboard..talk about a failure and being pathetic..no one is buying sliimy's music and they probably never will and same thing with your so called other great artists..as for melrose place give it time to pick up in the ratings..it's only aired 3 episodes.. you probably don't even watch any tv so you probably hate every show on the air not just these shows..

This is literally just another reason that I could argue about the CW Network for days on end. Dawn Ostroff (the head of this shit-tastic network) is completely delusional. She has siphoned funds from her consistently highest rated and most watched shows which don't even deserve to be on her network to crappy ass shows like this and like The Beautiful Life.
Dawn is under the impression that if she makes enough shows about tragic, drugged up models and pretty people with absolutely no script, no production value, no cinematic or acting talent, people will turn in to watch despite the lack of quality being displayed on the screen.
Melrose Place is a giant piece of crap that not even the presence of Katie Cassidy's snarky and well played character can save. It's shit. Even worse is: The Beautiful Life.
So, Perez, quite frankly, when shows like Supernatural, One Tree Hill and Smallville are off this network, which should be by next year, you won't have to worry about any shows sticking around at all because the CW can and will go under and go bankrupt.

i don't know why u just talk crap about one tree hill all the time when you don't even know what it is about. i mean its one of the cw hit shows even though it doesnt get millions and millions of viewers… so i think its on of the shows on the cw which is keeping the network strong…
im personlly a huge fan of the show… and i fell in love with it all over again. this season is rocking!!i hope it will go on forever! im so happy
Perez, I love you like no other! But you can't keep talking about One Tree Hill like that. Its a good show. You just don't know it. Take the time to watch it. That's my show. Been watching it since the first season and I have never gotten bored with it. Ily
One tree Hill has gotten alot better this season - ratings have nothing to do with it. If you watched you would know asshole.
the new melrose i like other than the engaged couple. oth hasn't been good since the first half of s5, though i am a leyton fan. hope it ends this yr. i only tune in this season for dan scott!

MELROSE PLACE is the best show on TV. Really - and don't judge it until you've given it a chance and watched a couple of episodes.
Perez - I love you, but am shocked that you don't promote the show more. I thought you'd love it. You're the coolest, as is MP, just makes sense.

I run the biggest One Tree Hill group on myspace, but…. in my opinion…. as much as the show was my favorite up until the 5th season, it should end. I agree with Perez.
