Appearing on Donny Deutsch's CNBC show The Big Idea, Coulter said that all Jews should convert to Christianity because Christians are better.

People like Ann Coulter are the worst aspects of this world - ignorant morons who do nothing but hate. Over the course of history they have been responsible for violence, death, and destruction. Sometimes people get on Perez's case for his comments, but he never attacks anyone for who they are - just the stupid things they do.

Okay, let me first say that Ann Coulter is a dumbass. But if people actually read the transcript above, she is not being anti-Semitic. She thinks she's having a discussion of the theological definition of "Christian," and Deutsch is either too stupid to realize it or is intentionally trying to paint her with a sound bite. Coulter annoys the hell out of me whenever I stop to listen, but it pisses me off a lot more when people isolate a sound bite out of context in order to paint someone a certain way –and I get even more pissed off when other outlets (e.g. Perez Hilton in this case) pick up that sound bite and run with it. Totally irresponsible.

As a Republican, I'll say that I don't like her at all. I think she's a fame whore, looking for attention and in this day and age, she has to say more and more inflammatory things to get that attention. Perez, I keep saying that the world should just ignore Ann Coulter. Shining the spotlight on her is what she wants. If everyone just shrugged and said "Oh well, that's just Ann Coulter and she's an idiot" and went on about their day, THAT would put an end to it. But no - she continues to get on TV and get speaking engagements and get on Perez Hilton. Let it go and ignore the moron!

I don't think Ann was seriously saying all Jews should become Christian. Donny was evoking the "power of suggestion" in her. She never said, "Yes, Jews should be Christians."
I realize that she says a lot of offensive things. It's a device she uses to sell more books—and—it's working! Her material constantly makes the NY Times Best seller list, simply because she sparks controversy.
Now, I agree with a lot of Ann's underlying arguments, however offensive her rhetoric. But, I must say, she is one of my personal heroes, because she will NOT allow people to control language. She says what she means, and does not apologize for it—JUST as you do on your blog. You are both setting an example (however differently) for Americans, in that we should exercise our right to free speech. Isn't this a beautiful thing?

I am Catholic, I am Christian. I went to twelve years of catholic school. I had religion class everyday of those 12 years with nuns teaching and not once was I ever told I was a perfected jew, in fact not once have I ever even heard that phrase. However maybe if we (myself included) stopped listening to what she says and stop reacting to what she says she would be a nobody and just go away.
